This tripod is great! Only thing that can be a problem at first is that spreading the stand out can be tricky. It would be good if the instructions were more detailed where this is concerned, but once you open the stand the first time you see that it's really easy! Now the good parts! The holder is secure and can rotate so you can take portrait or landscape shots easily. As a stand, it can be raised to a decent height so you don't need to find a chair or stool or use a counter which can't be moved. It's also very stable and holds the phone well. As a selfie stick, it extends to a decent length. The remote works quite well and has it's own spot on the tripod, where it fastens securely for transit. It also paired with my phone very easily and the instructions for the pairing were very good and specific. The remote comes with battery already installed and you are also given a second, replacement battery as well. And the remote works well in taking pictures once paired with your phone. I haven’t tested it out fully yet. It does extend out very tall- but it does wobble. Light weight and small- but I imagine if there is some wind involved you will need something to weight this down so it doesn’t blow over. Very compact for travel. It is easy to set up.

Believe it or not this is the first selfie stick I've ever purchased so I knew very little about what to look for. I technically didn't buy it for selfies but instead for taking photo's of out of reach places. I photograph mausoleum crypt plaques and some are up extremely high. Even on a ladder I can't get clear enough photo's. But with this stick I can extend it out pretty far so taking the pictures are a breeze! The remote is pretty straight forward how to set up. I haven't used the tripod option yet but did test it's stability. Like many others have said, it's less sturdy the higher you extend it. All in all I would recommend this product. ... show more
