I planted eucalyptus in one of these pots and kept the water up. Gives it enough water without drowning it. Only issues I am having are getting green scum in the glass bowl area and that there is occasionally white mold or something that grows on the surface of the dirt. The media could not be loaded. This is a decent pot for the cost. Way less expensive than other self watering pots. The glass looks nice for now, we’ll see how it holds up. It did come with a sponge to clean the pot with. However, my biggest negative is how the pot sits in the glass. It has not rim or lip to hold it in place, so it kind of sloshes around and can spill water easily when moving. Also, you kind of have to overfill it and let it overflow in the sink to get the water level right. Not a bad pot, I’d buy it again. But it didn’t blow me away. ... show more

This says its self watering, but terracotta doesn't let enough water through to keep soil moist. There are no drainage holes, holes to let water in from the glass pot, or wicks.
