  • The best all-in-one mushroom bags I have ever purchased!!!
These are the best all-in-one mushroom bags I have ever purchased!!! Ignore the haters...They don't know what they're doing. As a comparison, I got a different brand prior to this one and 12 out of the 14 bags came with contamination and the seller turned his back on the situation and blamed the spores I was using which is an easy way out. Contrary to this, this wonderful Booming acre seller was quick to replace one solitary bag that just didn't take after I purchased a whopping 11other bags that all have progressed beautifully. There's no telling what could have been the reason for the bag that didn't take, but after a second run of inoculating it and a month past my original purchase, I reached out & this seller replaced that bag without delay or any hassle whatsoever. And even throughout the process of my adventure into growing mushrooms (as I am still a beginner,) he gave me incredible guidance & tips whenever I reached out. For example, he suggested that if you're using a heating pad it has been his experience that turning the bag upside down prior to the first shake and break which can better preserve the moisture helping the bag to not dry out but still flourish with the needed heat. That's just one of several very helpful suggestions he offered. Have you heard of old fashioned service? This is the little store you want to go to for that. Meaning, it is exceptional in it's customer service etiquette, (kind, professional, patient, and responsive) and it has an excellent product to boot!!! Beginners like me need all the help we can get and I can only give high praise that so many bags have worked out so well! This is the second purchase I have made with this seller and you can't get much better than this! Fruitful bags each time They are not just clean and sterile--They have something in them that make the mushrooms flourish! BEAR IN MIND that in the pics I posted, I had already picked quite a bit before I thought to take a picture as I was SO excited. I should also add that I purchased four other bags from yet a different merchant than the other one previously mentioned in this post and those bags arrived not contaminated but hardened, with very little space & naturally dried very quickly, & of the mushrooms that survived they were frail, small and not nearly as robust as the ones in the Booming acre bags. This is important because it means the spores were not the issue nor were the conditions I put them in as they were all in the same environment, but the special ingredients and perfect conditions of these Booming Acre bags from the jump start is what made all the difference. Deciding which bags can be a difficult process, look no more. Buy these!!! You will get excellent customer service AND an exceptional product!!! ... show more

  • Awesome product awesome customer support
This product came very well packaged the actual bag came completely free of mold and bacteria and it was also vacuum sealed so it doesn’t get contaminated in the warehouse. The bag is super easy to use and theres even a video that shows you how to do it on youtube! You can tell they out pride into what they do , It also came with 2 nice and very helpful information cards , i have been using Booming Acres products for a while and they've always been great!I had an issue only once which almost 100% user error and they were still super helpful and sent me a replacement,100% percent recommend ... show more

  • Poor Product, More Expensive
I literally hate writing bad reviews because I don’t want to be responsible for someone missing out on money. However, they are incredibly poorly sealed. I bought 15 bags spending close to $650 dollars. I went with this option, even though it’s nearly twice as expensive as the competition, thinking the quality would be better. I had two bags break the day I got them. That resulted in contamination of two strains. I couldn’t figure out at first, how they got contaminated but realized, oh the bag broke. How the bag broke so easily is beyond me because I didn’t even notice. I had two other bags break while shaking them up, which is fundamental to the mushroom cultivation process. Nearly all of them have small leaks because when I shake them, small amounts of substrate are out of the bag. The spawn in some bags are clumped in the substrate. Therefore, I almost tossed two batches out thinking I had contamination because mycelium was growing on top of the substrate. After investigating them thoroughly, rye was clumped immediately under it and it was healthy mycelium. It’s just a really poor product for a significantly higher price. Not only did I potentially waste $650 dollars, I potentially lost months of time and money with the potential of more contamination due to the awful sealing. It’s almost $40 dollars for a 5lb bag when there’s alternatives that are better quality on Amazon for $21. I’m more frustrated about the time factor as opposed to the money because it’s lost money in profits from growing them. ... show more

  • Needs hydration…
I have tried inoculating 4 bags. The first 2 grew, but only after adding ~30mL of boiled water to each bag. After that, one bag had 3 good flushes. The other fully colonized, but never pinned… I figured I’d try this brand again as I learned more about mushroom cultivation in the interim. Second group of 2 bags grew minimally, then stalled despite adding moisture (15mL each bag) after ~3 weeks since inoculation. Only ~1/2 dollar sized colony visible in each bag that has not changed in ~2 weeks… Added another 15mL water to each bag. If no growth, I’m going to have to switch gears & bag manufacturer… Update: With the added moisture the bags colonized nicely. I would not hesitate to use this brand again, just be aware that additional hydration may be necessary. This is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. But a 5 pound bag is not easy to find & this is a good one. I also like that it is sterilized, opens up some options… ... show more

  • Impressed
I was impressed with the amount of effort put into keeping the bag sterile. This is the first time I've gotten a vacuum sealed grow bag and it's super legit. There is a lot of opportunity for the bags to pick up all kinds of material while being delivered so I thought it was a great idea to ship it vacuum sealed. Just inoculated, will update! ... show more
