Water it about once a week with approximately 1/4 cup. Ensure excess water drains. Adjust as needed for your environment. Never let Assorted Foliage sit in water or saturated soil. When delivered, it’s about 4-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. Assorted Foliage arrives in a black, 2-inch grower pot. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. Assorted Foliage is generally a moderate grower, depending on environment and care provided. Boost growth in spring and summer with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the product’s instructions. When Assorted Foliage outgrows its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it in a 2-inch wider container. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. Hardy outdoors in USDA Zones 9-11. Exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. I'm giving a 5 star because the plants I received were likely healthy & happy before they left the farm. They were packed nicely but two seemed to have been over watered before they shipped. 3 out of 6 arrived in great condition. 2 had rotting leaves but can likely be saved. 1 was no longer a living plant when it arrived. It's leaves were rotted & no longer attached to roots. The variety is great, they're all different plants. I will update in a few weeks ago about their progress. Ooof. I read the reviews before I purchased these babies as Christmas gifts for my employees, so I knew it was a bit of a risk in terms of quality. I purchased two lots (so, 12 total) and none of them made it. Was hoping I could rehab at least a few but no dice. Absolute disaster. They were decently packaged in a sturdy box but they clearly got bounced around in the process. Just not a great idea to be shipping tiny, delicate plants in the middle of winter. Or buying them for that matter. Save your money. Buy local. Or just get gift cards or something. ... show more

I've ordered several plants from Costa Farms - both for myself and as gifts - and this turned out to be the second-worst so far in terms of the plants surviving. When received, they were all very much rootbound and dried out. Over the last month I've been trying to nurse them to life. Of the 6, two have already just died, and another 2 aren't looking great. The only thing I've had that was more disappointing was a fiddleleaf fig that never grew at all no matter what I did and then just died a year later. That said, Costa Farms has FANTASTIC Peace Lilies and Pothos varieties, so I'm sure I'll be back for more! ... show more

Most beautiful and healthy plants. I've gotten a dozen+ in the last few months to fill my new apartment and soul. Not one arrived sick or thin. All are better than expected. The decorative pots are a steal at just a few dollars more. Great quality soil. I'll be back to Costa again.

For the most part, this is a good deal. I ordered the 6 grower pot set and expected to have maybe a duplicate but it's a little annoying to order a set of 6 plants and essentially get 4 different plants. You can see from the photos that 4-5 out of the 6 arrived healthy, one of them has some browning on the edges and the other one has crushed leaves but I'm sure they can be revived. UPS handled this terribly (box was clearly labeled with which side is up, but they delivered it upside down) but this is not at all a knock on or the fault of the seller. Pros: 1. At ~$4 a plant, it's a great deal and better than what you can get at most local stores, granted these are typically smaller than what you can get at your local stores. 2. Despite shipping from FL > CA, the plants arrived mostly healthy and brightly colored 3. I do like the variety of plants I received Cons: 1. One of the plants had a trapped mosquito that flew out the moment I cut the plastic wrapping. Fortunately it was lethargic from the shipping trip and I was able to track it down and kill it. Not ideal for someone with a newborn child in the house. 2. As you can see 4 of the plants are actually 2 plants but in different color variations. I get that this is a grower's choice, and the colors are different enough that I can let the duplicates pass but it's not ideal to order 6 plants and basically receive 4 plants with 2 duplicates. On the plus side, I suppose it makes caring for the plants easier. I will reserve my full judgement until I repot the plants but I could have gone to my local garden store and bought a larger plant at $6-7 a plant. While $4/plant is a good deal, I would not have bought two different variations of two different plants if I was able to pick myself, so at the end of the day the price balances itself out. I will give it 4 stars because the plants arrived mostly healthy, but I cannot recommend this if you are looking for a specific variety OR if you are looking for 6 different plants with this order. I'm sure some might get lucky and get all 6 different plants, but I wasn't one of the lucky ones. ... show more

I have always recommended Costa Farms to people interested in growing their plant collection. I was so excited that the package I ordered showed up super fast, until I opened the box. Inside I find 6 little plant babies wrapped super tight, covered in wet dirt and smashed into the box and then covered with brown packing paper. In my haste to rescue them from those conditions I almost forgot to take a picture. Two of the plants I personally would not have sent to a customer even in good packaging let alone smashed into a box. They need to be replanted immediately since their nursery pots were nearly flattened and that isn’t acceptable. I never write reviews but this one is deserved. I am now super nervous to see how my fiddle leaf fig tree looks when it arrives now. ... show more
