Bed is huge. We had several tomato, picklebush, snap peas, and onions grow successfully in this thing and it was my very first garden ever. Purchased this raised garden bed a few weeks ago. it arrived on time in a fairly small box. My husband had no trouble putting it together. currently it is holding a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. Seems very sturdy and was very easy recommend. It looks very nice too. Definitely recoomend.

Size is a bit smaller than 4’x8’ but still a good size. The metal is light weight and somewhat flimsy but holds shape well. The long side pieces have a smooth edge that won’t cut you, but the corners that you attach are sharper, so you have to be careful when assembling that you don’t cut yourself. This raised bed is very affordable. I was initally thinking of making a wooden raised bed from scratch but after calculating the cost, I figured that it would be better just getting this galvanized one. It costs around the same price as making one from scratch and it include all the needed parts. Moreover, this should last longer than a wooden raised bed. It is made from galvanized metal and so it is unlikely to rust for a very long time. The raised bed is very easy to assemble. It is just as easy as take a screw driver and screwing on 48 nut and bolts (provided in the package). The set up is very straightforward and intuitive. The actual set up itself can be done in 15 to 20 mins... mostly because there are so many nuts and bolts. But it is very straight forward. Just screw the bolts onto the pre-drilled holes on the raised bed panels. However (and this is my only criticism), the raised bed has a very thin plastic film on all 6 metal panels. This plastic is very hard to remove. (And I recommend peeling this off before setting up the raised bed). It takes 10 minutes to remove the plastic film from each panel. 6 panels means that it takes an hour to remove it. So it will take some time to prep the bed before setting it up. But after this is done, the actual set up is a breeze and very straightforward. The bed looks thin and flimsy at first, but once it is set up, it is very sturdy even though very light to carry around empty. I also appreciate that this is a foot tall and not too shallow like some other raised beds being sold. Now, I see some other people complaining about this not being 8 feet by 4 feet. I measured it, and it is 8 x 4. I do not know why they complained that this is smaller than 8 x 4. Perhaps they were sent a different bed or an older one, but it measured up to size with the one I was sent.
