This box is much better than a more expensive one I previously owned. It's easy to fill, works well, takes up less space than similar boxes. The best part is that it is absolutely silent. It does need to be on a hard surface for the sensors to work.

I previously owned the PETKIT Pura Max (version 1), and after upgrading to the Pura Max 2, I can confidently say that it has made significant improvements, addressing the issues of the first version. One of my favorite features is the seamless app integration, which allows me to monitor my cats’ weight and track their bathroom habits effortlessly. The enhancements to the N50 odor eliminator packaging are also a game changer. It lasts longer and is much easier to install now. For multi cat households, this litter box is a lifesaver. I have two cats, and I only need to change the litter bag every 7-9 days. It keeps the litter box clean with minimal effort, making my life much easier and stress free. The sucky product that cost me $463.31 does not work. First off - it is very obstinate wanting to connect to the house WiFi. I have 5 GHz, and this product only supports the old 2.4 GHz. Mistake number 1. Next, the literature indicates that you don't need to hook it up to the WiFi; that it will work stand alone. All it does in stand alone is ask to be attached to the WiFi - no manual mode period. Third, my finicky cats would not even go near it. I bought two of these and couldn’t be happier. They work great with my grass seed litter and are so quiet you never even hear them. Keeps air from smelling like a littlerbox. I wish I hadn’t waited so long!

    • It’s difficult to get my cat to try it. It works well.
I’m trying to use it to replace a litter box. That box has a small cover, so she is used to that aspect. She is scared by the need to jump up into an opening above the floor when she can’t see what is inside. Your suggestion to put some litter from the old box helped, but she is also terrified by the motion. Any suggestions? ... show more

I have been reluctant to make this investment due to all the nightmares you hear. I can report I am super pleased with my PuraMax2. I chose this brand because I liked the safety to my pet. The compact size and cleaning ease. And secure access to replacement parts with an established company. My 9 month old cats took right to it with no issues.
