Very nice set that looks better than the pictures. Do your research to know what size fits well for your fireplace and to understand the differences in burner options. To me the additional small cost for this set with the the G45 is easily worth it compared to the single tube G4 burner. Size wise these are pretty large and I suggest making sure you have plenty of room at the mid point. Use the calculators found on the relevant sites to gauge the size you need. Make sure you clear the minimum specs easily. If not, if it is just enough room I'd drop back to the next lower size. Installation is fairly easy. Removing any existing wood burner/starter will probably be the most difficult part of the task if it's been there and used for a long while. For most, professional installation is a good idea. If you're comfortable doing this type of work however, it can be done fairly quickly. Overall it's a great set with a nice upgraded burner that will save you a lot of money versus comparable sets in retail stores. Very pleased with the choice. Oh buy a bag of the lava granules as it does not come with these. These should be spread around the base to contain the 'embers' and cover the burner pan sides and connections. ... show more

We purchased this on Amazon for 1/2 the price that they sell it for in the stores. It is a huge upgrade from the existing gas set that was in the house that we bought. It is easy to turn on (no need to light a pilot every time), looks like a real fire, and the flames adjust from low to high. We also love the little fake charcoals, they look very real. We are ordering a second kit right now to replace on our second gas fireplace, because we love the first one so much. BUY THIS PRODUCT! This log set and burner is exactly what I was looking for. The ambiance is incredible and it gives off more heat than I expected. The big bonus is the logs stay warm for a long time, even after the flame is out. Given that log sets can be expensive, I thought the price I paid was very reasonable.
