Peterson Real Fyre 24-Inch Live Oak Log Set With Vented Burner, Natural Gas Only. 64-YE. Vented Gas Logs. The outstanding craftsmanship of Real Fyre captures tradition and quality with the natural realism of the 24-inch Live Oak log set. The hand painted details are modeled from real world samples, and the high definition bark enhances the natural wood look. The logs are crafted from superior refractory ceramics which provide radiant heat even after the burner has been turned off. Each log has a steel rod insert for maximum reinforcement, and the vented design means they burn efficiently to reduce pollution and protect natural resources. Set Includes: 6 Gas Logs, Sand, Embers, Custom Grate, and Burner. Burner Output: 75,000 BTUs.

The media could not be loaded. The package was delivered on time and there were no broken or missing parts. I purchased this gas log set because I already had a gas starter for my wood-burning fireplace so there was no need to run in a gas line. I was getting tired of bringing in logs from the back yard and then having to clean up the ashes a couple of days later so the idea of a gas-log set was pretty appealing. However, my expectations were relatively low as I really enjoy a nice fire and thought a gas set would look fake. This unit far exceeded my expectations. Now, on the negative side, it's not real wood. But, on the positive side, it's not real wood (which often had bugs and beetles hitchhiking there way into my nice warm home). Two recommendation though: 1. Order the gas line. I had a heck of a time finding anything from the hardware store that wasn't bright yellow (meant for a gas stove). 2. Order the Lava-Fyre granules. I just ordered mine and, as you can see from the photo, the bare bricks on the bottom of the fireplace look stark. The granules should help. If you're on the fence about switching over to a gas log set, jump off. This is the set you've been looking for! ... show more

Product returned to seller as unsafe. I hired a professional gas installer who refused to install this as he advised it could easily lead to the house filling with gas and potentially exploding. He further advised me that he understands this type of product to be not only unsafe but also illegal to install. Amazon management has been advised of this issue. These logs will not create any heat. This important tidbit was not included in the description, but was confirmed by the seller After we purchased them. Also note that this is basically non-returnable. You will have to pay return shipping which is around 50 dollars and they will only refund you 50% for the product. Measuring your fireplace is one of the most important first steps in finding the right gas log set. This set was clear in its size and has received many positive stars, so I bought it. I was not disappointed. It was relatively easy to install. My fireplace already had a gas line coming into it from the wall, but it was capped off. For over 30 years, we had used it as a wood burning fireplace. The most difficult part of the entire installation, was removing the cap off of the gas pipe. Once that was done, the installation was easy. I did have to buy the gas hose from the gas pipe to the gas log set, but that was easy to buy at a local hardware store. You have to ensure that it is for a fireplace gas log set. The only other challenge is how to arrange the logs to maximize the look. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We purchased this 18" log set to replace our very old gas log set that came with our house which was noisy, ugly, and didn't project any heat into the room. This log set came quickly, and was an easy install. Our fireplace now looks incredible! Silent, the embers look great, and we can feel the heat on our toes when we sit by it. If you are unfamiliar with gas fireplaces you will definitely want a professional to install it for safety's sake. We also purchased the "Peterson Real Fyre Gas Log 12 inch Flexible Connection Kit (Whistle Free)" hose to connect to our gas line, as well as the "Midwest Hearth Natural Lava Rock Granules for Gas Log Sets and Fireplaces (5-lb Bag)" granules to complete the look. We were quoted $1,600 for almost the exact same product from our local fireplace store. Super happy to have our fireplace for this winter. Cheers! ... show more

Got the 24in set. Looks great. Very happy with this set. Comes with everything you need except lava rock, ptfe gas tape, and leak fluid. Included pipe and adapters work well. Easy install.

This is a very nice unit for the price. All hardware was included. I read some reviews that said the flex connector was not included but mine came with the connector and all the fittings, installed it myself in about 45 minutes.

This fireset looks great. The material, including the burner, grate, and logs are first class. Easy to install and assemble. It included plenty of "embers" and sand and fits nicely in the fireplace. The burner releases flames evenly under the logs. I did need an additional flexible connector hose as it replaced a wood burning set-up with gas "starter" so the included burner was too short to direct connect. I also bought additional lava rocks (not included) to spread across the firebox flooring. ... show more
