the only thing I like about this litter box is it is self cleaning. when having to change bags in the receptacle, it is a breeding ground for gnats and there is always moisture underneath the bag. I have to wipe it out with paper towels. No odor from it thank goodness. it is not silent, I can always hear when it's moving from the other room. I would love it more if it weren't for those DANG gnats. I always feel like I need a shower afterwards. Best to spend 2 minutes a day to even out the litter. That will make it operate more efficiently and stay clean longer. Follow the instructions carefully to assemble. My cat took to it immediately. She looked on curiously the first few times it cycled, but now ignores it.
