Safe and hygienic humane rodent removal In many areas, mouse and rat infestations are a frustrating fact of life, forcing many families to turn to poisons or traps and to dispose of unsanitary remains. The Pes tContro Portable Ultrasonic Rodent gives you the peace of mind of keeping out unwanted visitors while ensuring the safety of your children and pets. With one unit covering up to 1500 sq. ft., as long as the sound waves are not impeded by walls or solid objects, the is the perfect solution for kitchens, offices, garages, basements, sheds, storage rooms, attics, and more

  • Pest control device
I bought this product because it is supposed to emit a sound that pests find disturbing. I don't have any pests so I suppose it works. If you have mice it is probably worth the purchase price.

  • Unsure about level of effectiveness but might do some good in small area.
We live in a rural area. Field mice seem to always find a way into to our older home, despite our efforts to prevent. I’m unsure if this product works but it might be to some extent. It would probably be more effective in a small confined area. Not a scientific opinion - - just my personal opinion.

  • Simple solution that worked!
I live in a manufactured home on a concrete slab with a crawl space underneath. I was hearing random sporadic scratching & scurrying under my bathtub and bathroom floor off and on for weeks, then it became every night & sometimes during the day so I was sure then it was either a mouse or chipmunk/squirrel and it was not going anywhere. I figured before I call someone & spend $ let me try a couple of cheap options first. My grandmother used to use devices like this so i thought I'd try this 1st. I didn't want to put it under the house first just bc it would be easier if I could figure out a way to keep it inside to monitor it & have it still work. Although it said it doesn't work thru walls, I wanted to try maybe thru the floor/bathtub. I found out by accident that it would work inside another way! I had it aimed at the drain in my shower at night to see if that would work - well 1 morning my son turned on the shower & got it soaked & he put it on top of the floor air vent to dry out. While I was outside I heard this ear piercing noise & it was coming from UNDER MY HOUSE! I ran inside & found it was in audible mode bc the batteries were wet & because it was aimed down on top of the floor vent it was echoing thru all the air ducts under the house!!!! I shut it off, took the batteries out, let it dry. Once it dried out, it worked normal again (silently but flashing light every few seconds with small audible beep). I kept it face down on top of the floor vent, hoping it would reverberate thru all the air ducts again and within 2-3 weeks whatever rodent was under there previously was GONE!!!! I have not heard 1 scratch! Not 1 little sound AT ALL SINCE!!!! I keep it face down on the vent & not 1 problem since. I can't believe it actually works AND I am able to keep it inside the house to monitor when it needs the batteries replaced. It has been several months & no issues. For the money and the ease of use, it is beyond well worth it! Beats having to hire someone to go under my house & charge me $$ to eradicate & probably maintenance! I know some people say it didn't work for them & I can imagine it may not work for every situation - I'm sure different factors come into play but for the price and how simple it is, I think it is definitely worth a shot. It definitely took 2-3 weeks for it to drive this pest away so it doesn't work overnight but I have NO COMPLAINTS! I am super happy! If anything changes I will update but as I said it has been several months now & it has remained effective. ... show more

  • Fatal Flaws But Not For Rodentia
Unit placed in path used daily by a full family of mice. Adult mice avoided it and revised their route. Last month's litter of young'uns, however, apparently dig the loud rock & roll music! Also, the Amz ad says the unit volume is 88 Decibels but the enclosed User Manual specs say it broadcasts 30-50kHz (40 kHz plus or minus 10kHz) at 120 Db. At that volume, at least one professional NIH medical study has proven. 30-40kHz harmful to human high frequency hearing. Product is a good idea but forced to return unit. Maybe mfr. can try raising frequency by 20kHz to 50-70kHz (60kHz plus or minus 10kHz)? ... show more

Have had off and on problems with red squirrels in our attic. Didn't want to run an extension cord into the attic to power a repeller, so combined two of these convenient battery-powered repellers along with spraying Tomcat Rodent Repeller into attic -- nothing for the last six months. • Alternative positive use of “rodent repellent device”
I’ve been trying to find an ultrasonic device to keep gray squirrels from eating all the bird food I leave out in several locations. They are particularly aggressive in taking sunflower seeds, even those mixed in with other seeds. Anyone who tells you that they have developed a “squirrel-proof” bird feeder is kidding you..... there is no such thing. However, regarding the subject “battery operated repeller” advertised as an ultrasonic deterrent for rodents, including squirrels, I have found it to be effective in an unusual fashion. I found that you need to place the device in a location where it can be quickly accessed while the squirrels are actively eating up the bird food. Using a stealthy approach, reach for the device, lift it high and throw it violently towards the offending rodents (taking care not to actually strike the poor dears). Unfortunately, this methodology only causes the squirrels to quickly retire up the nearest tree, only to return in a short time. You can retrieve the device and repeat the process for as many times as you desire but the other down side is that all the birds leave and stay away until long after you finally get tired of retrieving and throwing the “repeller”. In short, this thing does not work and I consider it to be a wasted $30 on a POS device. I hope this assists some people from wasting their money on this, and probably all “ultrasound rodent repellents”. They are, in all likelihood, the equivalent of ‘snake oil’. Thanks for listening. We’ll see how long this evaluation survives on the site. ... show more

  • WORKS!
I am using this in the camper and no mice droppings since setting it up. I usually spend about an hour cleaning up mouse droppings and wiping down surfaces each time I open the camper door, but this really works. Battery life seems to be good so far too. I am impressed!

  • Does It Work? My thoughts…
I didn't find out until it was to late, unfortunately, that I had a terrible mice infestation! I didn’t want to use “deadly traps”. I didn’t want to use anything where I had to deal with killing them brutally, or dispose of bodies. I did some research and came across this mechanism. My thoughts? I know that it “helped tremendously” with my infestation. I also noticed that it helped keep bugs away. Having said that, it doesn’t work 100%. I was really, really disappointed! It did help me reduce the amount of mice by more than half! I think with a little more time, it might take care of the issue, but I’m not sure how long (or if) it will work 100%. In the interim, I’m very pleased toward the progress that it’s helped me with! Although it didn’t rid me 100% of the infestation, it definitely helped reduce my problematic situation! I’m very happy about this! ... show more

  • It freaking worked I can’t believe it
It freaking worked I can’t believe it I had a red squirrel tearing s&(! Up In my drum and dance studio that I wasn’t using during covid shut down. She was grabbing stuff and taking it out. Running around with veils and knocking over my drums. Also taking from fizzy pillows. Over a few days I would clean up only to return to what looked like frat party leftovers (less the beer cans, covid and bodies) I’d clean up and go on about my day After considering it was paranormal. I went outside and sat to see if I could see anything. Any action anything before I call Bill and Dan. Then I saw. Much like a scene from “the good the bad and the ugly” stand off it was her, “Fesses” the red squirrel and I. Staring At each other she and I still without breath and I yelled it’s you you little effer! I didn’t want to have her hurt so I decided to see what else I could do. Purchased this. • Works, but took a while
Bought this for my off-the-grid cabin as I was needing a battery operated device. I have several other "plug-in" devices at our home and they work very well so I thought this battery operated one will do the trick. It's been in the small one room cabin for a over a month now and the mice just ignore it. Update: Took a lot longer than expected, but cabin is now clear of mice. Note, I have also taken other measures, like dryer sheets and a homemade peppermint essential oil spray. I will however probably order another one to overlap the battery life so there is always one unit working in the cabin at all times now that it is getting colder at the critters are looking for a place to live for the winter. ... show more

  • Mickey Seems to Be Gone!
We've had a rat/mouse (Mickey) in our crawlspace and have had the exterminators out here 3 times since early in December. They will not poison and we don't want them too since we've had a dead rat in enclossed hard to reach vent area before and the smell was awful! Instead the exterminators have done the basics...traps, outdoor food bait stations, and now finally have put better vent "chew proof" screening on all of our vents in the crawlspace walls to exterior. We still heard Mickey rooting around at night until we put this Ultrasonic device in our crawlspace. it is on a concrete slab crawlspace so no water to ruin it. Until the exterminator came to check traps and put this in the crawlspace for us, I turned it on and placed it face down at one of our floor vents to the in ducts crawlspace. Mickey seemed to go crazy as I heard lots of scurrying after I did this. This was also during the day and we rarely heard any sounds from him then. It's been a week and we only heard Mickey for a few seconds on two days and now for 3 days nothing. I believe that the ultrasonic in the crawlspace has really helped! ... show more

  • Seems to Work
Had evidence of rodents in my camping trailer this spring so I purchased two of these. After doing a thorough cleaning and sanitizing of my trailer, I placed these inside after placing the trailer back on the storage lot. When I took the trailer out of storage and began prepping for my next trip, I conducted a thorough inspection of the trailer (all 35 ft. of it), there was NO evidence that rodents were still inside. So, I'm going to state that this is a WIN for this product and I'm happy. After all, isn't that what it was supposed to do? Read the instructions and carefully follow them and you should attain the results you're anticipating. I highly recommend this product as it is easy to use and require NO wiring into your electrical system and the batteries really last as long as previously stated by the manufacturer. ... show more

  • Love this thing!
We have a cabin in the woods and whenever we would come on weekends, there would be mouse droppings on the counters. We have been using this for about 2 months now and I haven’t seen a single dropping since! Being battery operated is perfect for our situation because we turn off the power when we aren’t there so this little guy works while we’re gone. The batteries have lasted 2 months so far. I was worried I would be able to hear the noise it emits and I can a tiny little bit if I’m right next to it. But it’s so quiet it isn’t bothersome at all. My dog doesn’t seem to notice it. Well worth the money! Buy it if you have mouse problems!! ... show more

  • Using a combo of pest chasers works!
Using these battery operated sonic pest chasers in cabinets and drawers [where apparently, mice had been getting in somehow through the walls behind them] in concert with all the others I've purchased; some plugged into outlets sending EMFs through the wiring in the house, some battery operated in strategic locations - it's true - in 6 weeks - the mice and rats have vacated. These are slim enough to place in a drawer - under furniture - brilliant. Wasn't sure it would all work, but using a number of different products, including this one - has worked. • This works
I took this camping. The mice have always kept my dog awake but with this he got to sleep. We went to a spot where there were some reviews about mice so I bought this and was very pleased with the results. I did see a couple before I remembered it was in the car and they quickly ate a few dog crunchies that were left in my dogs food bowl so I set it up in the area and put some food in the dish overnight. In the morning, I was actually kinda shocked to see all the food still there, all of it. Also the chipmunks kept their distance as well. I made a mistake one morning of walking away from the site while I was making sandwiches and freaked when I remembered everything was out and came running back but the chipmunks didn’t do anything at all..I was very happy because we didn’t take much food. This is simple tech that does work. Highly recommend for camping ... show more
