I bought this because my dog likes to get into the trash can.... I had a can in the bathroom with a foot pedal to raise the lid, but my mother's small dog learned he could raise it with his nose and like the good friend he is taught the other dogs to do it. The biggest issue is I have a baby.... Not all wipes are flushable and they need to be thrown away. Dogs, as most of us know, are loving and wonderful companions, but they are disgusting animals sometimes lol! My boy boxer loves to eat wet wipes, especially used baby ones.... I'll leave it at that. He was sick for weeks, upset stomach to be simple, and we spent A LOT of money on vet bills. The vets are idiots and said it was all these other things, but no way he was impacted.... weeks later a massive wet wipe came out of him. A few days later he regurgitated another wet wipe. Long story to and end.... I needed a way to keep them out of the bathroom trashes and this can is perfect. It is two pieces: the bottom piece you slip a bag around the edges and the top piece slides over the base to hold it in place. The lid on the top has a locking mechanism you have to push down and it pops up and pushes down to lock. (I try to not let these dogs see how to use it....) There is a small U shape cut out on each side where you could, if needed, have 2 bags in it if you so wished. I will say it is narrow, but long and that makes it difficult to use beside my toilet. At first, I was concerned with the quality, as it seemed like the lock might break easily, but so far so good. Note: They give you a few extra pieces to replace if the lock breaks.... not sure if this is good or bad. They either are nice people or know it will break lol. I like it and am glad I have it... I now have 3. ... show more

I was looking for a small trash can for the laundry room counter to collect dryer lint and other small random trash. I love the look and size. We finally painted our laundry/mudroom and I wanted something stylish that doesn’t look like a garbage can. It’s perfect for what I am looking for. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it comes with 2 extra clasps for the lid closure. I can tell the first one is already starting to fail as you have to push down harder to make sure it catches. I still have the 2 extra clasps but sometimes we lose that kind of thing and that would render it useless. It was cheap so I am ok with this and would recommend getting if you purchase that you keep those extra clasps in a safe place because you will probably need them. ... show more

This is a beautiful, modern trash can that would look great in any room. 1.3 gallon trash bags fit perfectly. Snugged and fitted. Clean lines and a one finger push and close feature. Needed something that our dog couldn’t get into and thankfully, she doesn’t know how to trigger the push lock to open it. While not terribly sturdy, it’s not totally flimsy, either. Definitely a little smaller than I like but gets the job done.
