PEERLESS 24-A MANTLES 4 PACKS OF 2 (8 MANTLES) 500 CP / 999 OR 99 STYLE MANTLES This is a set of 4 Packs - each pack containing 2 pieces - Total 08 pieces of PEERLESS 24-A MANTLES Will work on any two mantle gas pressure lantern including the 200, 234, 242, 247, 249, 321, 325, 335, 286 or any single mantle lantern that takes 400 to 500 CP mantles. They are equivalent to the Coleman Type 999 Silklite or Type 99 Rayon mantles. They will operate on lanterns using naphtha, gasoline, or kerosene. Made in India.

No these are NOT Radio Active, sadly. There is definitely a difference in brightness regardless of what you may read online, radio active is brighter, even just by a bit.

They are not as bright as I expected. I understand that the mantles with the original Thorium formula are still available and work much better. Same with other Coleman type mantle sizes.

    • not manufacturers fault but they where wrong size....
Was told these fit a Coleman 242 single or a 220 double.... They do not, they are way to big and once burned down big so big and long they do not burn efficiently I suspect they will also not hold there own weight and tear themselves apart when jostled around. if your Lantern Takes theses Big Boys hope they work for you Mo Betta than they did for Me.... ... show more
