I bought this for my dad so he can start doing a simple workout after being discharged from a skilled nursing facility. It was fairly easy to assemble although it didn't feel really sturdy until my uncle actually had to do some modification to it. If you're looking to get a simple exercise equipment for someone older to get some sort of movement, this is it. My dad has been using this 5-6 days a week in the morning for 30-45 min and he actually enjoys it and feels pretty tired after using this. I do recommend putting some sort of weight on the legs so it's more stable. Luckily we have a couple of 8lb and 10lb weights to hold it down. ... show more

I received this product two days ago, later in the afternoon. I was concerned when the box arrived, because it looked like the box had been re-packed. There were two different types of tape, and the package was bulging, unlike something that was in original packaging. When I opened the box yesterday, I noticed there were two items that appeared to have just been thrown into the box (the grey rubber mat and the strap). Also, a couple of things had already been put together that the instructions said I would need to do. The nuts and bolts were tightly wrapped with tape--not in appropriate packaging as I would have expected. I couldn't even begin to unwrap them. I immediately put everything back in the box, knowing that this was not a new product that I thought it was going to be. Too bad. Maybe this is a good product, but I was not willing to attempt to put it together knowing that it wasn't new. ... show more

I bought this for my Grandpa. He has bad knees and is hoping using this a few times a day will help him out. For him it works great. The one he had had no weight to it and didn't have the ability to hold onto at the top, meaning it moved all over the place. Coming with the anti-slip mat is great considering they use this on a hardwood floor surface. And with the arm controls it gives you an added ability to move around a bit more. Mine and his only complaint is the feet straps on the pedals. Way too small and not adjustable at all. We ended up cutting these off so that he could easily place his feet there. Light weight hand and leg exercise equipment for all. The only downside is its own upside "weight", since it is light weight, even with the mat and securing belt, it tends to move around.
