Bought this to make a catio for my tiny home so the kitties have more room to roam! It was impressively easy to put together! It took me (with minimal assistance from my boyfriend) about and hour and a half to assemble and move it. It was an instant hit with the cats! It is not the sturdiest once built; be careful when you move it because if you pull too hard or push in on the side too much you might break the screws that hold the panels together. This was a very small issue for me, as it only really is a concern when moving the piece and only then so much because the roof is very heavy and sturdy, which makes the whole assembly heavier to move. But I plan to reinforce the corners with some L brackets from Lowes, which are inexpensive and will do a lot toward making it super solid. I have had no troubles with it so far and it's been installed for about a month. What I also think is a huge pro here is that it will be super easy to disassemble when I eventually move, and easy to reassemble later (even without directions!). In order to make it sit flush with my tiny home outside wall I scooted the roof panels over about an inch so there was no overhang on that side. This meant I had to leave out the dowels that are meant to add extra stability and alignment to the roof panels but honestly, with so many screws, they're not going anywhere anyway. Another thing I changed was that I added sturdier, padlock friendly latches in addition to the ones they provided (see pics). I wanted to add a bit more security so people couldn't mess with my cats and also because I was paranoid the neighborhood kids might open the door and forget to close it properly. This is a really nice little condo for our cat. It arrived extremely quick and was easy to assemble just time consuming due to so many screws. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a safe outdoor space for their cats.

The overall quality was good. Went together pretty easy. I just wish it had a floor. Sitting on the ground it can rot from the weather. also cats tend to think of the ground as a big litter box :)

Ok. I'm knocking 2 stars off for two reasons. #1. There is a God awful chemical smell when you open this. Like make you nauseous bad. I've read some reviews that say it disapates once you let it sit and air out. I sure hope so because I'm modifying this for inside for my sugar gliders. #2 The advertised deminsions are not correct. When the measured they measured the roof overhang which I think is really misleading. You don't loose a lot of height or length but you do loose a good chunk of width. The actual measurements are 70L 70H and 34 W... Also the door like others said is like 3 ft. Now for the stars I gave. 1. Shipping was super fast. I ordered it on a Friday and expected delivery was for almost a week but it was delivered in 2 days. It was well packed and cushioned for protection.. 2. Putting it together was really easy and simple even though they shorted us one screw. It's a little flimsy until you attached the cross pieces for the roof. We didn't use the actual roof as I wanted wire roof. 3. Despite the actual deminsions being off, it's still roomy and being it was mostly put together it was easy to assemble. We probably could have built it ourselves and save about 100$ easy but honestly id rather pay that extra to have it mostly assembled because I'm lazy. ... show more

As with any of these "DIY" construction projects, patience is required. You will not build this item in 30 minutes! But if you take your time, you will have one of the best cages you can buy. The door is wide enough to easily walk into the cage and it's tall enough to easily move around. Since this item is screwed together, it won't fall apart like the other "plug stick A into knuckle B" items you can see elsewhere. My package had a small missing item (small board to cover one of the roof panels). I emailed their customer service and received a reply the next day, offering to exchange, refund, assist in any way. The media could not be loaded. *****UPDATE**** We liked this so much we purchased another one. After installing the pet window, we put the new one right next to the first and removed the wire screens. Now the cats have twice as much room to watch the wildlife that comes into our backyard. One of the best things about this catio is how much it lends itself to customization. I plan on placing this against a window, snipping the wire mesh, and putting a pet door in my window screen so my cats can go in and out at will. It comes with two door latches, so the door is very secure. But it's also a great product right out of the box! You can customize, but you don't have to. The wood is sturdy and the wire mesh is strong enough to prevent cats from getting out. The shelves are solid and supported by thick bolts. Note on instructions: on the side pieces, my instructions said frame 14 went with frame 10 and frame 9 with frame 13 (even with even and odd with odd). That was incorrect. 10 went with 13 and 9 with 14. Not a huge deal, just be sure everything makes sense when looking and the screw holes. That's what tipped me off. Assembly will take some time and probably make your quads sore, but it's mostly screwing in nails and bolts. One person can put the frames together easily enough, but you'll want two people when you join the frames together because they need to be standing up.
