Definitely this product came to save my live. My surface pro 4 has just 1 usb port, but with this dock hub, everything came easy, just plug and play. Have been using it over a month and so far so good. I give it 10/10.

The docking station works well and has a lot of features. However, it blocks the charging port on my Surface Pro 8, so I couldn't use the station while charging my laptop. So, if you own a Surface Pro 8, you may want to think twice before buying this docking station.

This Opluz 6-in-2 Docking Station for Microsoft Surface Pro X/9/8 is incredibly useful for a number of reasons. To start - It does need to be plugged directly into your Microsoft Surface Pro X/9/8 via the dual USB C ports, and does not work as a stand-alone docking station that can be plugged into any outlet; It is specifically designed for Microsoft Surface Pro X/9/8, as stated in the product description. And I put “X/9/8” in that order, because it works best with the X and 9 Surface Pros best, but with the Surface Pro 8, it has its limitations. When you plug-in this docking station to the Surface Pro 8, it ends up blocking the charging port (so you are unable to charge your Surface Pro 8 while the docking station is plugged into it), but for the X and 9, it doesn’t block the charging ports on those. So this is something to consider when buying/using this product. I believe Microsoft made this docking station to plug into the Surface Pro X/9/8’s USB C ports directly so as to avoid having any wires to worry about. The only wires you need are the ones that you plug your external devices into the docking station with - the wires that those devices came with (whether it be to transfer data from those devices and into your Surface Pro, or whether it be to charge a device from the docking station, etc.), and that’s it. It does not come with any of those wires, just the docking station. You can use the wires that came with your other devices so that you can plug them into the docking station. The docking station provides a variety of plug-in options (6 in total): 3.5mm Audio/Mic, USB-C 3.0, HDMI power (4k 60Hz), PD100W (10Gbps), and 2 USB 3.0. With these plug-in options, you can plug-in a variety of things, such as: headphones, microphone, speakers, tv screen, monitor, projector, cellphone, mouse, keyboard, U disk, hard drive, etc. The options are seemingly limitless, as you can use this docking station to charge any device that can plug into the docking station (so long as it remains plugged into your Surface Pro, as that is how it is powered and is able to charge any device that plugs into it). It can also transfer data, as it is not just a charging device. You can transfer music/audio, photos, files/documents/data from those devices - anything that you can work on from your Surface Pro and that it supports. I appreciate the option for it to plug into a bigger screen, so that you can mirror what is being displayed on your Surface Pro (whether it be for a presentation at work, or if you are traveling and want to view something larger from a room you are staying in - You can just grab your HDMI cable and plug your Surface Pro into a larger TV screen or monitor or projector, via the docking station). The docking station is very compact and lightweight and makes for an easy portable addition to go with your Surface Pro - wherever you may go! It clicks right in - no driver required! It starts working with the Surface Pro right away. I don’t have a way of checking the data transfer speed, so I am unable to speak to those specific numbers, however, I can tell you that it is a very efficient docking station!
