This is great. Cheaper then the steam deck dock. I had the official dock and got rid of it for this one. A lot cheaper and does the exact same thing. Haven't had an issue with anything. The many usbs are a massive plus and the base has a great weight to it. The build quality is exceptional.

Not compatible with my laptop. Doesn't work with any adapters (USB 3, HDMI, ect). Make sure your laptop has a USB C with display support or it will not work. I suggest getting your computers device name, and googling the specs to see if your USB C supports display. Update: Customer service reached out to me and they were willing to resolve the issue. I bought this to allow me to hook up multiple monitors in my home office. It works great! The only thing I think would make this item better is if the cord that connects to you computer and to the box was a little longer.

I bought this to use with my Z1 Ally. It works great for when I'm sitting in the hotels I can hook up to the TV in the room. It does require a 100w charger to get the 30 watt manual mode, as the stock 65 watt ally charger isn't enough to power the dock and do the higher turbo mode. I purchased this item due to a recommendation from a friend who also has one. His works perfectly still. And mine did, too, until today. I turn it on, turn on my TV, and switch to the proper input channel. Nothing. No signal. Okay, try a different HDMI port. Same issue. Okay, try a different HDMI cord. Same issue. Okay, try a different device entirely. The other device works fine. And my Steam Deck works just fine, too. The dock also still transmits the signal from my controller and the little charging cable still provides a charge. It's only the HDMI port that has failed. Very sad. My PC just died as well, and due to the tiny size of text on the screen, I can't play a lot of games handheld. And some of my games, I can only play in desktop mode, which is now inaccessible. The media could not be loaded. I have it hooked to my ROG Ally with an 85w USB-C port plugged into it. I'm trying to use it to run 4k 2022 TV, an old CRT using DVI to HDMI and that old monitor using VGA. I made sure to check that the 4k TV was plugged into HDMI 1 for 4k60hz. It doesn't matter how many displays I have plugged in or not. It will still do this with a single display plugged in. No matter what I do, my 4k TV will not detect it but works completely fine with a LISEN dock that I have (that does not have a VGA port) The ROG Ally USB-C spec is 3.2 Gen 2, Displayport 1.4, so it should absolutely be able to run this dock. ... show more

This was easy to connect it connect everything that I needed to. I just wish I would’ve noticed it did not have a power supply. But it makes it easier for me to move between one computer and another and use all of my monitors and only have one keyboard and mouse.
