I've used many docks for the steam deck as I live connecting it to the TV a d playing retro games at work or with friends. This is the best dock I've used. It's metal has ethernet so you can download games way faster then wireless. Looks sleek with that metal finish. And best of all with other docks I've used you sometimes get artifacting because of quality yet this one I've yet to see it. Also as an upside you can connect a usbc powers phone to it and cast to the TV or monitor you are connecting to through hdmi. I've used this dock for both purposes and is a very handy tool that I throw in my bag because you never know when someone wants to play some retro games or wants to watch a movie on the big screen. Here's the thing about docks: they're all just glorified port hubs. The only difference might be how/if the ports interact with each other. Absolutely do no waste your money on the official dock. Even if you want a display port, just buy a hub with its own power cable that has the proper ports. Steam Deck does recognize hubs. Other handhelds I'm not sure about, but why wouldn't they? Let's start with the two negatives: The first is only one USB-C. The official dock suffers from this, too. Not a huge deal because of adapters, but it's there. The second issue is the lack of a display port. Personally, I don't care because I'm not trying to play games on my Deck at 8k. That's what my PC is for. This Jsaux dock does cap out at 60Hz on 4k. With a display port the Deck is capable of 60Hz at 8k or 120Hz at 4k. If you don't have a TV or monitor capable of 8k, then the lack of a display port shouldn't even be a problem. Now the positives: The Jsaux dock is compatible with my steam deck, samsung phone, and it even works with my Lenovo tablet. It is made out of metal. The USB-C portion that plugs into your device has metal surrounding the angled bit, as well. So far, all the ports have worked. I have used both a Bluetooth and wired controller without issue. Also, the wired controller will charge while plugged into the dock. I have used Bluetooth headphones while docked. I imagine wired headphones would work fine. I have not tested the gigabit ethernet port. There is plenty of anti-slip strength on the underside and the topside where your device rests. Because of the metal construction, the dock has a satisfying weight to it which adds to the effectiveness of the anti-slip pads. Everything about this dock is amazing, 3 USB 3.0 slots, up to 100w charging capability, I haven't tried the HDMI or Ethernet yet. The only down side is the link cable for the Steam Deck/ROG, it's too stiff and not flexible enough, I would prefer it braided but to each their own I guess. But it is a concern to me because it's the weakest point that could break or get cut off. Other than that it's amazing and works flawlessly, and quite durable with it's metal frame, it feels high quality for it's affordable price! ... show more

Product worked well enough at first. Occasional disconnects while playing but they were infrequent enough and I was happy enough to ignore it as what I get for not purchasing the Steam version. Well, as the month went on, the disconnects got more frustrating and by the writing of this review the product has stopped working completely. The LAN indicator won't even light up. I've seen similar reviews of this item saying the same thing. Tried other wires, tried the original wire, tried the firmware update. I could only get it to connect to my PC by forcing the USB C in and slightly up and to the right. Still nothing. It's a faulty usb C power slot. Save your money and get the Steam version even if it's overpriced. This product is impossible to get support for too. Good luck if you get it. ... show more

After 6 months of use, it stopped working, not recommended. There were issues since day 1. Issues: 1. Not keeping up with steam deck charging while gaming on big screen, even with an original charger. 2. If you hook it up to a 1080p display, your steam deck dock wont display to any higher resolutions. Unless you factory reset the device. Deleting all your games! So choose your solution wisely. 2. When it does work, the TV or Monitor you're using will flicker. The screen will go black constantly ! To the point where its not usable. 3. Having to constantly get up to disconnect the dock and reconnect it so it displays again. I have 2 steam decks, i bought a 2nd one because i thought my steam deck was the defective one. But nope, it was the dock. I tried a different dock and the issue was resolved. My brother has another Jsaux doc and the same issue is happening with his. Just buy the official one or the UGREEN dock. ... show more

4k @60Hz with HDR worked fine. The Hisense TV itself definitely has some issues with the AMD Linux driver, and it doesn't detect correctly (black screen) but if you put the steam deck into Compatibility mode then connect the hdmi cable, then it detects, and from there you can set the correct resolution & frequency. But this isn't a problem with the dock, although it's easy to blame the dock. It's definitely something funky with the TV and the AMD DC drivers. ... show more
