  • A quality kickstand with docking support; A great on the go accessory!
The way that I see it, this is a kickstand first and a dock second. This will not replace your stationary dock at home. There are other, better docks out there with more USB ports, an Ethernet port or slots for additional micro SD storage but what makes this product great is that it's the perfect on the go option for somebody like me who brings their Steam Deck to the office. It's the only kickstand/dock hybrid of its kind making it a great accessory. Using the kickstand I can play in desktop mode with an Xbox controller or hook up a wireless mouse and keyboard with the USB ports. I can also hook up to an external display via HDMI with ease. The kickstand is comparable to the Nintendo Switch kickstand. It's limited to one position when fully extended and snaps closed when not in use. It serves its purpose very well and I have no complaints. Visually, this product looks compact and sleek on the Steam Deck. It snaps into place with ease and fits like a glove. I love the way it looks so much! As mentioned by other reviewers, the USB-C cord could benefit from having the option to unplug and put away as a means to hide the cord when not in use. Additionally, a 90 degree L shaped USB-C would have been appreciated. I plan on getting another dock for my desktop station at home but this kickstand dock will always be in my bag wherever my Steam Deck might go. For that reason, I highly recommend this product! ... show more

  • Clever little add-on, adds a kickstand and no need for a dock.
Style: USB3.0 Version
It's a neat little hub that clips directly on to the back of the deck and fits securely. No need to carry one on the go, and all the ports work exactly as advertised. It barely adds weight to the deck, although while attached it doesn't fit in Valve's proprietary carrying case. Not a big deal because the hub's easily removed when storing it, and quickly replaced when you need it again. I don't have a protective shell on my deck, but I assume the hub would not fit correctly if there was anything on the deck beyond the base model. The kickstand is a sorely needed accessory for the steam deck, and this hub "kills two birds" so to speak. My only two gripes -- The USB-C port on the hub is only a power pass-through to charge the deck. No data, no display info. Not a big deal if you already have an external display running on a full HDMI port. Second, the cable from the hub to the deck is a hair too long. When plugged in, the cable loops around to the top of the deck, but juts out behind the deck by about half an inch. I worry that when I have the hub cable plugged in, I can't lay the deck flat on its back without putting pressure on the deck's USB-C port. Over time, I'm afraid that pressure could damage or wear out the solitary I/O port on the deck if I'm not careful to place it on the kickstand every time. Bottom line -- Great accessory that I wish I bought when I first got my steam deck. Slightly limited in I/O when compared to other traditional docks, but well worth it for the price and added utility. ... show more

  • Works well! Wish it were case-compatible but that can be difficult.
Style: USB3.0 Version
Bought this specifically to be able to play Steamdeck on a TV while using the SD as a controller still. All works fine! I have a Spigen SD case but have to remove it to mount the dock unfortunately. Understandably, it would be hard to make a dock that fits to most/every SD case in a secure manner so I won't knock any points. It does snap on and come off of the bare SD with ease. ... show more

  • Works great
Style: USB3.0 Version
I use my steam deck on my tv when I have friends over and it does the job, with 1 tv over hdmi while charging and having 2 controllers attached. It also works good as a kickstand. For some reason the charging light doesn’t turn green when I use this charger, so it must be slower that what the deck supports ... show more

  • Good for the price (updated with USB 3.0 version)
Cheap plastic that scratched my Steamdeck vent plastic cover. The kickstand holster will loose after a few uses. But it's all no big deal. Also USB 2.0 isn't that bad if you just transfer data from USB drive to the deck. I tried to put it in the official Steamdeck carry bag. The port kinda damaged. Don't do that. --------------------- For the USB 3.0 version. It fixed almost everything I mentioned above. Now I can put the Steamdeck with it attached in the carry bag. The SD card slot is also cool addon for dual boot user, I haven't check the speed of that though. But the cable is a little bit too short or tight while plugging in ... show more

  • Great!
Style: USB3.0 Version
Love it. The steam deck itself is not too heavy for the kick stand (it sits up properly). Quality is fantastic with no lag. Installation is simple and I don't feel like I'm gonna do damage with trying to take it off or putting it back on (nor is it too loose). Works well with the steam deck and I would recommend this to anyone. Thank you! ... show more
