I purchased this to block out the sunlight from an East facing window. It fully blocks out the sunlight if the fit is right. The tools are all included and it was easy to install by myself once I got the hang of it. I thought this was going to be the type that static clings to the windows, but it is adhesive. If it accidentally adheres somewhere you don't want it to, it is very difficult to remove. It pulled some paint off the sill and left residue behind; though getting it on the sill in the first place was an accident on my part. FuFin One-Way Window Film promises easy privacy and heat control, but the experience may be less than ideal. Here's what you need to know: Pros: One-Way Effect: Does offer some privacy during daylight hours, blocking views in while allowing you to see out. Some Heat Reduction: Noticeable reduction in direct sunlight, but don't expect full heat blocking. Cons: Finicky Installation: Instructions were unclear, and the film itself is very prone to air bubbles and creases. Getting a flawless application is difficult. Fragile: The film feels thin and flimsy, making it easy to tear or wrinkle during handling. May not be durable long-term. Night-Time Visibility Reversal: At night, when lights are on inside, the privacy effect flips and people can see inside. Tip: Watch online installation tutorials beforehand for the best chance of success. Be very patient and careful during application. I work night shift and needed something to help block out as much light as possible while I sleep. Blackout curtains are so expensive. THESE DID THE TRICK. I put these on the top panel to block out all light and a 50-80% tint on the bottom so that when I open my curtains I have a nice amount of light coming through. I got the total black out option for a temporary black out affect on my apartment windows. I'm on the bottom floor and don't like waking at 5:30 AM to full sun and thinking I'm suppose to be up already. This is a TOTAL BLACK OUT. You CANNOT see in or out. So if you need to be able to see out of the window, this isn't the option for you. Pretty easy to apply with a learning curve. It does tear easy if you aren't careful when you cut it. I did the application by myself on ceiling to floor glass doors and didn't have any issues. Would be easier if it was in sheets but oh well. The film is actually very forgiving which I appreciate. Bought for privacy reasons plus didn’t want to purchase curtains and rods so this was my alternative. Best pro so far is that it reduces the heat in the room! Tools the kit came with are efficient and really does the job. I like this kit and would purchase again. Can’t show what it looks like on the outside because it is on an upstairs window , sorry. I just finished installation and am writing the review right after and it works fast in reducing heat. It’s HOT this 2024 summer Never tinted anything in my life but installation wasn’t as bad as I expected, definitely need to take your time though and don’t give up. I was struggling to do by myself and the film would stick to itself but it is very forgiving and you can just unravel it and it’s fine. I luckily had my own spray bottle, I honestly think the one it comes with wouldn’t do anything lol it’s so small but I understand why it is. I’d keep a bowl or cup of soapy water mixture by you to refill the spray bottle if you don’t have your own. ... show more

Well I should have stopped when the instructions said “any monkey can do it” I have large windows. The 41x78 sheets are unwieldy and it’s hard to get the backing off and the film mounted without having wrinkles in the finished installation. The liberal application of soapy water makes it much more difficult to handle and place. I ruined one whole sheet. I highly recommend installing this product when the glass is cool and not in the direct sun. A hot window will dry the soapy water before you can apply the film. ... show more

Installation was a pain. The squeegee included didn’t work well AT ALL. Not super user friendly and definitely goes smoother with two people. Definitely recommend watching a few how to videos before attempting to put the tint in. However, I’m thrilled with the level of blackout. I use it plus a blackout curtain so I can sleep before I work nights. Though, the curtain isn’t strictly needed after installing the tint. ... show more
