Very excited when it arrived. I used it per instructions. About 2 hours after use, one of the temperature probes began to read wrong temperature. Way to high for my smoking pork, compared to the other provided probes. I placed "bad" probe in iced water and still read water to be close to 260°F. I sent the vendor a message asking for assistance. We'll see what happens. ... show more

This temperature probe is great for the price, the signal is good, and it has 4 probes, but it is missing the option to have a temperature range. I bought this to monitor my smoker temperature and assumed that because it has the brackets to connect the probe to the cooking grate, that it will have this ability. Unfortunately, I was incorrect. This could be easily residues with a software update. I hope they do this soon so I can use it for what I bought it for. ... show more

The aluminum and heavy steel housing has a very nice feeling in the hand. It's a little difficult to properly calibrate the grind coarseness / level when making espresso grounds. Once it's set, though, it works very well and stays consistent. Note that the lid of the body that attaches to the handle is not secured by any means -- you have to hold it upright at all times or you will spill beans from the top. ... show more

I like the built quality and sturdiness. Feels solid and high quality material. One downside is grinding sizes are not as consistent as other $10+ competitors. Eventually I found it is worthwhile to keep.

Thermometer seams to be accurate with a few other Thermometers I have. Although I have a few other items on the Smart Life app, I can't get this to connect ti my phone. It is very irritating

So much better than my $20 ceramic grinder. The plastic hub on my cheapie grinder broke. So I had to start looking for something more sturdy at a reasonable price. Found this one it's quality appears to be at least 3 times or more better than the cheap grinder so $60 seems to be a very justifiable price. The metal burr cuts through the beans so much more easily. The handle is solidly connected. The whole device seems well designed and crafted. It easily grinds the beans fine enough for espresso. Manual grinding 15grams on the cheap grinder was begging to be a bit of a chore, now it's just a fun part of making good coffee. ... show more

    • Not bad, for course grinds. If you want fine ground this may not be the best choice :(
I use an Aero-Press for my morning coffee. The maker recommends a very fine grind. When you set a fine grind on this grinder that teeth have a - very - hard time grabbing the beans so it takes forrrrrrever to grind even a single service. You crank and crank and crank and the beans just don't get caught by the grinder teeth. In my opinion the opening end needs to be extended and widened slightly so the grinder can grab the beans at the finer settings. I have tested the grinder on its course ground setting and it does do a nice job grinding. It's just the finer grind settings that do not work well. If you only need course ground, this is a good choice. If you're looking for fine grind, I'd have to say pass on this one. ... show more
