I've been looking for a good probe thermometer for grilling for a while now to replace my trusty old model that's clearly seen better days. My original has only 1 temp probe, no backlit display, and no corresponding phone app. I watched a BBQ dude on YouTube and he had recommended Inkbird - and this one for the price of less than $40 bones seemed to tick all the boxes I was looking for. After reading reviews concerning the range of the bluetooth, I was a little worried that the WiFi version may be a better option - but it's about double the price, and I didn't really want to spend $85 or so at this time. I unboxed it, downloaded the BBQ Go app on my Galaxy phone, and quickly and easily paired the two. I threw a whole spatchcocked chicken on the grill, and I used one probe (Probe 1) for the chicken, and I used a second probe (probe 3) for the temperature inside the grill. Speaking of probe 3 - I noticed some reviewers didn't seem to know that the one probe that does not match the others - the one that is not pointy - is meant to be used for this exact reason - so please bear that in mind if you purchase this. You take one of the grill clips - clip it into the grill and slide that probe through so it measures your grill temps. As you can see in my picture - probe 1 marked Chicken 2 is 88°F and probe 3 is showing my grill temp at 390°F. Also note that the app includes many pre-created temperatures based on the meat you're cooking. I tend to create my own (Chicken 2 for example) - so I can prevent overcooking meats. This app has some good presets - in fact, they include a rare beef option at 120 - which is great - but personally, I like my beef VERY rare - so I cook to about 115 or so and it's great that I can set my own custom temps. I'll admit the app can use a few quality of life upgrades like a dark mode setting (I always use dark mode on my phone) - and also a way to stop the alarm without opening the app by using clicking the notification. Unfortunately, that does nothing - but I won't deduct any points for that as it's not a deal breaker. Bottom line - so far this device works great - has an easy to see display, works great with the app and has a much better range than I expected based on reviews. I was able to check my temperatures from my kitchen while my grill was on the back patio and I had no drops and no loss in signal strength. Granted, I live in a townhouse, and if you live on a farm and your grill is really far from your house, I can't speak to how well that would work, but for me - the range is excellent. Bottom line, this product works great and I will be using it for ALL my cooks from now on. I'll update this review if anything gets weird in the near future - but this Inkbird Meat Thermometer gets my approval and recommendation. ... show more

I have been using my Louisiana pellet grill for a couple years. It has its own set of temperature probes for the meat and holds a consistent accurate temperature, but I had to constantly stop what I’m doing to check on things. No longer! This Inkbird has 4 connections. 3 meat thermometers and a grill thermometer. They can be plugged in in any combination. There is a simple and effective free app you download to your phone and you don’t have to sign up or create an account to use it. It has a very strong magnet so when I have it all set up I simply magnetically attach it to the side of my hopper and can monitor from most locations within my house. My grill is out on my deck and sits on the opposite side of my fireplace. This is a built in the 50’s thick brick fireplace that is between me and the grill when I’m inside and the Bluetooth has had no issues keeping connection. I have other independent digital meat thermometers that have all verified that this unit is accurate. The unit is rechargeable and after several cooks at a total of approx 10 hours it still has 85% charge. Get, you won’t regret it! ... show more

I tested this against a thermometer that I rely on and know to be pretty accurate. I dunked the tips of the temperature probes in a kettle that holds the water at 212 degrees (being careful not the get the braided wire parts wet) and measured them against the kettle, and against the thermometer. This unit is not that accurate at lower temperatures (below 110 degrees) with each of the 4 probes showing something different. But it gets more accurate once you get above this. The app is easy to use and always connects first time. The unit holds its charge for 40 plus hours and has a good range. I can walk anywhere in the house and even in the front yard and still stay connected. Use this as a guide, and double check with a trusty pen thermometer. I did have another one of these that died after a year and ahalf of abuse and getting rained on multiple times. I am trying to do a better job looking after this one and keep it in a case made just for it. Where have you been all my life? I originally bought mine for smoking meat but now use it for home brewing. as well. My wife uses it for bread making and other cooking projects. It is easy to use and seems very accurate. I like that you can use more than one probe. For smoking, I use one probe for the meat and another to monitor the smoker temperature. The app that it comes with worked fine at first but quit after my iPhone software was updated. Perhaps I need to update the app too but I don't need it for what I do anyway. The battery lasts a long time but there is no indication of the battery life. Overall it's a very good buy. ... show more

I love that this has a magnetic back. I hang it on a chair next to my kettle grill and with the 4 probes I can keep an eye on ambient and internal meat temps. The app is easy to configure, gives you options to set your own temperature thresholds, and alerts your phone when those thresholds are met or if the temp goes outside of the set ranges. Would be a five star review but the ambient temp probe did not work out of the box. I really only have a need to 2-3 probes so I kept it and have made some fantastic brisket and pork butts with the help of this little device. ... show more

I don't usually leave reviews but this thing is great. I recently left this out in the rain. I actually had to poor the water out of it. I let it dry 2 days and works just fine. Very impressed. Btw I let it get wet about 4 times and still works.

Were has this been my whole life? Love grilling and smoking. Ive bought alot of cheap, junk, wireless thermometers, and this is one awesome. Only dislike, would be the 4 thermocouple cables.
