I use it to keep up to 4 water bottles cold by my bed at all times and it gets plenty cold enough for that use but when it comes to food it might not be cold enough to keep the food fresh for long periods of time but on trips or long drives it will work. It’s relatively quiet, unless you are sitting completely silent in your house doing nothing you won’t notice it. It does form water which needs to be wiped up every so often but not a big deal to me (if you don’t have it sitting flat the water could leak out the front door) . I bought this a month ago for my desk at work. I sit in a cubicle so I wanted something small but that would accommodate coffee creamer. I had purchased a 6 can fridge that died after 30 days and it could not accommodate at full size creamer (32 ounces) which are about 10" tall. This fridge is approximately 10 ½" inside. Granted, thermoelectric coolers are not well suited for dairy products but this one does a fine job of keeping the creamer cold. When I remove the creamer (usually once a day) the container feels very cold to the touch. A bit of frost has been in the mid back since a few days after running it but has not increased in size or shrunk so I know it's maintained steady cooling. Few drops often tend to pool in the bottom. This seems to be typical for these kinds of coolers. The handle is on the side. I think it would be easier to open with a handle. It seems to have a magnet that draws the door shut. I usually trash most everything I try but after 30 days of running continuously this is still working great and I highly recommend if you're looking to store 1 item at a time. I think if you have two narrow items they will fit. The fridge is not deep so wide and bulky items will take up most of the floor area. If you want a few things at at a time you'll probably want to consider a 12 can cooler at a minimum. This fridge also is designed to keep food warm. I have not tried it so can't comment on that. I read a review where noise was a complaint. Not for me. I cannot hear this cooler at all and Im not hard of hearing. ... show more

I got this for our little guest bedroom so visitors could have cold bottled water in the room. Basically this is some sort of induction cooling unit. Cooling down a few cans of soda or some bottle of water is going to take all day. If you already have something cold, it will likely keep it cold easily. It's just not a real powerhouse little fridge, but honestly I didn't expect it to be. It's small and it fits very well on a shelf in that room, so it's just what I needed. However, the cooling fan never shuts off. It always makes noise. It is always working at all times. If I had room for something bigger I'd get something better, but with my limited space this was the best option. I don't hate it. It's convenient. However, once someone drinks the cold water in it and puts in new bottles to cool down, it's gonna be a full day before those few bottles of water are coll. ... show more

This mini fridge works as advertised. It can be used in the house and it includes a cigarette lighter adapter for the car. It is fairly lightweight and has a handle on top to make it easy to carry. It can get a little heavy when filled with items and some type of latch to keep the door closed would be helpful. They show pictures of it being used during a picnic but that might not be realistic unless you have an external power supply. It does not seem to be very insulated so I am not sure how hot/cold the items would remain once unplugged and placed into unregulated conditions. Beware the capacity might not be as expected. The advertised capacity of 8 cans of soda is for mini cans. It will hold 6 regular sized soda cans or 4 standard sized water bottles. It has a couple of removable shelves / baskets that you will want to remove for maximum capacity. In cooling mode it never seems to cycle off. Unlike a regular fridge where the compressor rarely runs and the temperature is maintained through insulation, this unit runs constantly. I am not sure how much power it is drawing but the fan is constantly running. In heating mode, it does cycle on and off every few minutes. I did a few tests with makeup and drinks and it worked great for both. I did not have access to breast milk so could not test it. It made room temperature water into cold water in a couple of hours. It also made hot water even hotter in a couple of hours. It had no problem maintaining the lower or higher temperatures over time. See pictures: From 79 to 122 degrees in warming mode. From 75 to 45 degrees in cooling mode. The manual suggests it will work best to maintain temperature, not change it but I tried a more difficult test and it worked great. ... show more
