Ninja products for preparing and cooking too are some of the best appliances you can get and worth the prices. I had bought one of these many years ago, but lost it after the move to our new place. This machine allows you to chop vegetables and other foods at your own pulse power. Longer pulse, meaning if you press and hold the top longer, will achieve smaller chopping. It is powerful, very easy to use, and easy to clean with caution. All blades are sharp and this is no exception, when it comes to rinsing the blade or cleaning, but this small chopper wonderfully does the chopping and gets rinsed smoothly. The bottom rubber base is very good in keeping it in place, and blades chop in seconds. People often think smaller choppers are not worth the money, but this one gives you a very good amount chopped and done for meal making and more (See the size next to the 2-cup measuring glass) Cut harder and longer vegetables, like carrots before putting in the chopper. Remember this one is a small chopper and you can fit the right amount in the container if you cut the vegetables a little. Don't forget to put the lid on before putting the motor top and start chopping. We are very happy with this chopper. ... show more

  • Efficient and versatile
Color: Gray
The media could not be loaded. The ninja food chopper is a game changer in my kitchen. With its powerful motor, it handles everything from mincing garlic to grinding nuts with ease. The 16-ounce bowl is the perfect size for meal prep, and the compact design makes it easy to store. It's simple to use, easy to clean, and incredibly versatile, whether I'm chopping vegetables or blending ingredients for a quick sauce. This chopper has made my cooking faster and more efficient. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make their life easier. ... show more

  • Great Chopper but Learn to pulse lightly
Color: Gray
So I had a GE chopper that is similar in design that was 20 years old that had the plastic part crack so I figured lets see whats out there. The price seemed reasonable, especially if it will last me another 20 years. What a difference 20 years has made. This chopper is so much better in so many designs. I have only used it for a few things but all of them tested great. I did not even bother to read any instructions. Just rinsed it off and started chopping. First threw in a handful of almonds. Almost instantly it turned them into almond dust. Not sure what to do with almond dust, i threw in stick of softened butter and a few drops of honey and a few seconds later I had almond butter. Tastes pretty good. You could do this with cinnamon and sugar and butter and have great spread for toast.. Then I figured i would try it out on ice. Just in case you are not supposed to chop ice i used crushed ice from fridge. In a few pulses i had snow-cone ice. Or just finely crushed ice for any ice cold drink like a coke or margarita. I chopped some onions for an omelet. Instant onion relish. I even had leftover hamburger that i heated up and threw in it with a few squirts of mustard and i had a hamburger dip. The only thing i would say to new users is that it chops like really fast. If you want chopped nuts for ice cream or candied apple just one or two light pulse and look at the nuts. if you hold it down for more then 10 seconds you will end up with nut dust. Same with anything. If you want lightly chopped onions like for hot dogs, just a few pulses. If you hold down for long you will end up with onion relish. I has some left over broccoli that I mixed with onions and some seasoning and a little sour cream and made a great tasting dip. i like stevia drops for sweetener. I wanted a sweet chocolate low sugar treat. I added in almond milk some powdered cocoa and some stevia drops up to the top blade. added a little crushed ice and blended it. in seconds I had a sweet low calorie chocolate drink. The blade goes in and out easily. Be careful cause if you don't watch what you are doing when handling it will likely cut you. The container with anti-slip bottom is great. You can take what you chopped and close the top and throw the entire thing in the fridge. As far as durability who knows until you use if for a few years, but it seems pretty sturdy and easily cleaned. I have watched the Ninja commercials for years. Not sure this is the same company, but this thing really is great. Going to enjoy making so many things. Thinking of so many purees and soups that it will help make. ... show more

  • This is a very good and versatile chopper !!!
Color: Gray
First, This is a long winded review, I am over 60 Dad who loves to cook and bake and now lives alone with just my dog (Lucy). I do have two wonderful adult boys who are out on there own. I bought this a few years ago because they would come over for dinner without any warning. They really looked forward to our meals together whether it was a big spread for dinner or some delicious waffles for breakfast. It never mattered what time of day it was, they knew when they were here I would prepare something delicious. But I found I needed a chopper to speed up my prep time !! They enjoy my cooking because I take the time to make my food, unlike many who open cans or boxes and we’re never taught how to cook or bake. I have had this for a couple of years, I originally bought it to chop up some veggies, and to speed up my prep time and it did a great job. At that time I was enjoying cooking and doing quite a bit, and trying to make everything from scratch. But as time went by the kids had moved into the fast lane of life and I have no regrets, but making a big dinner for one (me) just got to be too much. So my little chopper started living in the pantry (I actually forgot I even had it). I want to mention that I have a full sized have a Cuisinart Food processor, but to get it out of the pantry and to actually use it, was just a pain. It was too big for what I needed. I also want to mention that I also have a little Havanese (Lucy) who is my more than just a dog, she is my companion/friend. So recently Lucy got sick, still not sure what is or was wrong with her since I am still treating her. I had done a lot of research and had put her on a rice and boiled chicken diet. This works pretty good, but cutting up the cooked chicken was not really doing what I needed. Then I remembered this little chopper. I got it out of the pantry, cleaned it up, and put it back to work. It really does a fantastic job of cutting up the chicken and at the same time blending the chicken and rice and some of her dry food together. Fantastic!!! Problem solved, now she eats all of her food, instead of just finding the chicken and pushing the rest out on the floor. I am already coming up with some other uses for this little chopper. And if it get worn out or if it develops some cracks, whatever, I will just get another one. In fact I may just get another to have on hand. I see a lot of comments about cleaning the area up where the motor sits on the lid, what I do is put about 3/4 cup of water with a couple of drops of dawn, then run the machine for a couple of seconds, ta-dah everything is clean. A quick rinse of the base and a paper towel to dry up my by the gear and I am ready use it again. ... show more
