This screw extractor set is a joke. The drills are very soft and the " threads" in the extractors appear to be cast and are very ill formed. They refuse to "grab" the screw. I use screw extractors often in my business so I have good experience with different sets. I used the smallest combination some time back on a soft machine screw (6-40) the bit would not drill so I drilled it with a left hand drill bit. When I applied the extractor it broke. Today I used the next combination in the set and had very nearly the same experience. I am past the return date so I am stuck with the set so I am leaving my first ever review. ... show more

I stripped a rear sight set screw that wouldn’t come out due to having used blue thread locker when I should have used pink thread locker or none at all. I wanted to adjust the rear sight with my new bore laser and after stripping the screw while trying to remove it, I thought it would never come out. I was skeptical this tool would do the job, but after heating up the rear sight with a heat gun and using the Ex#9 extractor bit from this set, it came out as smooth as butter. I got this extractor set to remove a micro screw the size used in key fobs that can barely be seen. Worked well enough to back out the stripped screw. The part with the black release tab (that goes into the drill chuck) was trash though. It made the drill bit wobble to point that it was unusable. Super cheap and worthless. But, the drill and extractor bits worked fine. Glad I got the set just for the drills and extractors. Don't expect them to be usable after a few uses though. ... show more

I had a small soft metal hex bolt on my bicycle. It was the brake bleed cap on my Shimano Ultgra shifter. The hex bolt was stripped and I already tried all of the other tricks I knew for removing bolts with stripped heads but no luck. Ordered this kit and it got the bolt right out. Well worth the money. I was skeptical. I have a small screw where the entire head sheared off. I had to use the smallest bits in this set. first of all, the extensions don't work at all... too wobbly. I just put the bit directly into the drill. the included drill bit was not making a hole. so i had to go with another small bit I had lying around. I was able to make a tiny hole. I had very little confidence the extractor bit would work, but it did! I was amazed and very happy. 3 stars cause nothing else in the set worked except for the extractor. ... show more

Well like most people the price was right, but this is junk. Stay away from it, spend a few more dollars get something well made. The first extractor I used snapped before I got the tiny screw out my kitchen cabinet hinges. Be warned spend a few dollars more and get quality not a cheap price
