I have been using the adjustable 50 pound core fitness dumbbells for about 8 years now and never had issue with them, other than they are limited in weight to only 50 pounds. I got the 80 pound adjustable nuobells as an upgrade, and boy are they awesome. When I first opened the box one of the dumbbell cradles had a cracked plastic part that made it more difficult to rerack the weight. However, after emailing customer support, they sent out a replacement cradle to me that same day and at no charge, and it arrived after about a week. I won't dock a star for the item being slightly damaged out of the box because sometimes it happens. Now onto the dumbbells... Pros- The cast iron plates just look and feel awesome. No issues with the plates feeling insecure and the plates themselves are very durable. I love the handles! The steel grip with the knurling feels like an actual gym dumbbell. The 80 pound max weight is such a game changer for me. While 80 isn't quite enough for some exercises (chest press, db rows, shrugs), it is still enough to get in the work I need. Huge space saver and much more economical than getting 16 different pairs of dumbbells. Cons- Some connector parts of the dumbbell are plastic and only time will tell how they hold up. You can't just drop these. Although it seems fairly durable, you will most certainly break the plastic connectors if you are carelessly throwing them around. Not that I would drop them anyways, but you just have to treat them with respect. If you want dumbbells you can abuse and drop, then you need solid cast iron or rubber coated ones. This product is an absolute must have for any home gym. The price point is very high, but this is absolutely worth it. Edit: I have been using these for over a year now and they have held up flawlessly. I frequently use the full 80 pound weight and the plastic connector pieces are showing no signs of wear. Just treat them with respect and as long as you arent dropping them or aggressively reracking them, they will hold up fine. I use these daily. Easy to adjust weights and get after it. I love they go to 80lbs so you can get more of a workout than with the 50lb adjustable weights. No difficulty doing any workouts the hand grip and weights don’t interfere with the wrist or forearms. Great product.

These weights have been perfect. They are incredibly easy to change weight amounts. 5 lb increment increase is very nice. Easy to set up, takes maybe <5 min. They feel incredibly stable. While they are expensive, they are well worth the price imo. They work great as an addition to a home gym.

First I would like to thank Finer Form, the company selling these through Amazon, for exemplary customer service. Through no fault of their own the dumbbell handles broke and they immediately replaced them, no questions asked. Five stars for them. The Nuobell dumbbells are also incredible. A quick turn of the wrist and you can adjust the weight. And love that they go from 5-80 lbs. The only knock on these dumbbells is that for the price, the plastic parts should be eliminated. They easily break and then turning the handle to get different weights becomes nearly impossible and cannot be fixed as a small plastic piece appears to break. For $800 it seems like they should be more durable. In both instances when the plastic parts broke it was during a bench press set and then dropping them to the floor from about 2 feet up. So if you do purchase these realize that you cannot drop them from any height. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. SECOND EDIT: they replaced both handles and these terrible plastic pieces broke within a few weeks. I guess I learned a $900 lesson for everyone else. DO NOT BUY THESE DUMBELLS or anything else from this company. EDIT: Dumbells are now WORTHLESS. The selector doesn’t work at all, plates fall off while using, it so hard to turn at lower weights. They are $900 paper weights. Dont waste your money. The handle is nice and the dumbbell itself isn’t to big like some other brands. However, I have had these less than 2 months and spin weight selector is very difficult to move. Actually, most people would find it impossible to spin it’s so hard. Also, the half plate on the inside part of the dumbbell has fell off randomly since I have had them. You will move the dumbbell and a 5lb plate will randomly just fall off They are hard to put back in their rack. It doesn’t just go right in like 90% or other brands. They have to be placed perfectly or they won’t go at all. Save your money and buy another set for much cheaper. ... show more

For the price you expect amazing and that’s what they are. They feel absolutely great to use from the grip to build quality. Now the weights shake just a touch but it’s still a quick change adjustable dumbbell so that’s gonna happen. I’ve been to gyms with dumbbells I liked less than these. Plus you can use these with the monkeyfeet as long as you can sit high enough (because these dumbbells are taller than normal ones). ... show more
