  • Excellent basic unit, sturdy construction, easy setup
Style: T Series 5
Easy to setup. Took maybe an hour. It’s very very heavy so when the box comes be ready to move it with two people. The unit itself is very sturdy and made with quality materials. Bought during Black Friday 2024 and it was a great value for a well-known brand. Works well!

  • Great treadmill for an excellent value
Style: T Series 5
After many hours of searching the internet for good treadmills that wouldn't break the bank, I found this NordicTrack model had what seemed to be a good mix of quality, features, and value. When we received it, we couldn't have been happier! For the price, it provided all the features we could want for those poor weather days we experience in the Pacific Northwest. I highly recommend paying extra for delivery to a specific room, especially if you plan to put it upstairs. Unboxing was easy and the instructions for connecting the pieces was clear. There are videos online as well if you need a little extra guidance. Also, make sure you have two people as it is quite heavy for one person. After using it for more than 3 months, I'm still satisfied and give it 5 stars. I'd highly recommend picking up the maintenance kit too, as our belt started to slip within a month. If you read the manual, it will tell you to tighten the belt, but after some more research this is not a good idea until you've made sure the belt deck is sufficiently lubricated. The belt should be tight enough from the factory, and you don't want damage it by over tightening it! If you're using it in a warm place quite frequently, it will probably need reapplication every 1-3 months. ... show more

  • Bought One of These 10 Years Ago - Bought One Now - They're Still Great!
Style: T Series 7.5S
* OVERALL * I had bought a NordicTrack treadmill similar to this years ago and got a lot of great use out of it. The only reason I sold it is because we were moving and the rental we were moving in to didn't have space for it. We bought a new home recently and I have a big workout space now and tracked down a similar model from Amazon and got it in January when they were running some discounts. Overall it's been a great machine and I've already put 50 hours and about 200 miles on it. * ASSEMBLY * I bought the package deal where an installer comes to assemble it, so all I can say is that he didn't have any issues and it took him less than an hour. Been solid since. * GENERAL USE * It's a mid-range treadmill but it gives me most of what I need. I do run some of the iFit programs that vary speed and elevation and every once in a while it would be nice to have more than a 12% incline, but not very often. When it comes to speed, I'm rarely sprinting even at the max speed of 12mph, so it's plenty fast. Speed and incline controls are decently responsive but there are times you have to hit the button more than once to get it to react. Transitions to a higher or lower speed or incline are just fine. Wouldn't want them any faster or slower. The width and length of the treadmill are great and I'm 6' 4" and never feel crowded. I have some suggestions for improvement, but I'll write those below. * iFIT * I've used some of the iFit programs and enjoyed them. Probably a lot more to get out of them, but the screen on the treadmill isn't huge so not as engaging as I'd like. It's more about the automatic program control of the speed and incline that's valuable to me. The buttons on the touchscreen are kind of small and not super responsive. They work and I get around fine on it, but it can be sluggish and often requires multiple attempts to get a button to respond. Kind of like a smartphone ten years ago. Not perfect. The other big issue is that I have not found a way to sync the iFit program to a computer screen or TV in any way. My old NordicTrack with iFit allowed you to use the iFit website and sync what was going on with the treadmill on the computer screen. I think that feature has been removed as far as I can tell and there's no way to use an AppleTV, Roku, computer, or anything else to see a larger picture of the screen so you're left with a small screen only. I called support multiple times on this, but it seems this isn't available and only high-end models have an HDMI out (probably a $2 part) that would work perfectly. Oh well, I'm living with it, but it was a surprise to find out that this treadmill couldn't do what a similar NordicTrack treadmill 10 years ago could do. * SUGGESTIONS * Don't want these suggestions for improvement imply that I'm not happy with the treadmill. I am!! It can just get better in a few key ways: - See my iFit comments above. It's really been crippled in order to convince you to buy a much more expensive version just for the bigger screen. That's too bad. - There no great place to put a water bottle. There are spots on the side, but they don't work like a drink holder at all and are kind of awkwardly placed. There's a shelf down below the controls, but I'm not quite sure why it's there except to store stuff like a HRM or other gear. Not a good spot for a water bottle while you're walking/running. - Noises: overall I'm happy with the noise level of the machine, but it makes a strange noise ever time as the incline goes down around 0. My other treadmill did the same thing, so I guess it's normal, but still kind of strange. - Like I mentioned above, buttons could be more responsive. When you're sprinting above 9mph and you're ready to end your interval you reach for a slower speed and it would be great if it responded the first time every time. Again, overall I'm very pleased with the machine and it gets me through Idaho winters without gaining 100 lbs. Don't know what I'd do without it. ... show more

  • Maintenance Agreement is a scam
Style: T Series 6.5S
Edit: The NordicTrack maintenance agreement is a scam. I paid $200 for the 3 year agreement. First visit (still under warranty) was free to me. Called today for 2nd year and they are charging me a $25 travel fee for the tech to come out. That might be worth it if the machine was broke, but just basic lube and diagnostic it is a little steep. Machine is still great, but think carefully before buying the maintenance agreement. I could probably find a tech for basics a lot cheaper....and probably even just pay for broke parts with the $200 if it ever comes to that. One year on review: Definitely worth it -but shines with the iFit app. I got the small basic screen model T6.5S, but it was on sale for less than $500 delivered. Bought a Samsung Android Tablet and it has worked fine for using iFit app. The treadmill functionality really shines if you use the iFit trainings regularly. The speed and incline are controlled by the particular workout (but you can turn it down or up when needed). The iFit trainers are all very good but really enjoy Tommy Rivs and Stacie Clark workouts. I have worked up to 50 miles of running and 30 miles of hiking over the year. Lost 10 lbs and feel a lot better in general. The combo treadmill and iFit made that possible. Called for the annual maintenance and that was simple and easy. The five year maintenance plan was worth it for me, but this was my second treadmill and I knew I would put in a lot of exercise time. Assembly and first impressions (right after purchase) The first few instructions are a little sketchy unless you read the instruction manual. I tried their video build option and it is not nearly detailed enough. They use three different bolts for each support and the packaging gives the impression you just use one size. Once you read the instruction in the booklet, it all makes sense. There are a couple of points where they recommend having a helper and that would be nice, but I didn't have one. I used a couple of ratcheting bars to hold the control panel in place while I screwed it in and made the electronic connections. Worked fine. The other point is adding the pressure tube under the track part. I had a longer ratcheting bar and was able to brace the running track up so I could make the connections underneath. It worked fine, but did feel a little dangerous. That track is extremely heavy if it dropped on you. I set up a couple of chairs so it would not fall completely to the ground if it had come loose and tried to work as much as possible at the edge so I could get myself out of the way if it dropped. It worked great out of the box. Not sure how well it will hold up, but have seen videos of it working fine after six months. My old treadmill had lasted five years, and probably will make five more but I wanted the auto incline feature on the NordicTrack. ... show more
