🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Based on the user reviews, this product is highly versatile and efficient, producing great results in making soups, smoothies, ice cream, and more. The cleaning feature is appreciated although it takes some time. However, the heaviness of the blender's glass container poses some challenges for users with physical limitations such as arthritis or a shoulder issue.

Pros

  • 🍲 Versatility in cooking a variety of items.
  • 🔥 Ability to process and cook hot foods.
  • 🎛️ Multiple, sensitive settings for different types of food.
  • 🌬️ Rather quiet operation.
  • 💦 Self-cleaning feature.
  • 💎 Great value for the cost.

Cons

  • ⚖️ Glass container is quite heavy, making it potentially difficult to handle for some users.
  • 🛁 Blender is not dishwasher safe which might be a turnoff for those who prefer sterilizing their utensils in a dishwasher.
  • 🕒 Cleaning function, although effective, is slightly time-consuming.

Should I Buy It?

If you do not have physical issues that would make handling a heavy glass container difficult or if you don't mind not being able to use a dishwasher for cleaning, then this blender with its versatility in cooking various items, quiet operation and value for money would be a good buy.

  • I make cat food from scratch and this fits the ticket!
I like to make raw food from my cats (Note: I haven't done bones in the blender and don't plan to! Can't buy replacement blades, you have to purchase a brand new carafe since it's all attached so don't dull them!) and it has taken an arduous 2 hour process with my old oster blender and me mostly cutting manually to about 30 minutes. Processes chicken thighs like a charm! Just make sure there's ample water. Also have made soups in it and I really enjoy having the hot blender! I also love that it can wash itself and by using boiling water sterilize itself - extra important given the raw meat usage. CONS: Pretty heavy since it's glass but nothing I can't handle (145 lb lass who can only do 10 pushups lol). Can't throw in the dishwasher and can't submerge because of the heating element- be cautious. The rubber lip can get smelly if you do a lot of curry etc in there, I soak mine in vinegar frequently and it seems fine. CANT BUY REPLACEMENT BLADES, this sucker is all one piece so you break blades/glass/handle/heating element you have to buy a whole new carafe. Kinda loud? But it's a blender what do you expect lol PROS: Glass carafe! Wont crack easily like the plastic ones. Self cleaning/sterilizing as long as you don't mind getting any leftovers up top. Strong/powerful this thing gets the job done just as well as a vitamin in my opinion Set and forget! If you wanna do something you can leave it Warning jingle before it starts blending so it doesn't scare the bejesus out of you when it's on a program/self cleaning (If you're making something hot it'll rest and boil it before it blends and if it didn't have this I fully think I would crap myself) Overall if you're looking for a new blender, especially one with a glass carafe as that was important to me, I highly recommend! I love mine so far it's a workhorse. ... show more

  • Most convenient
The media could not be loaded. Let me tell you about the blander, its wonderful the power is pretty good, i love it because i can make my soups or salsa l, the only 2 bad cons is that its a little heavy which i dont care that much, and the other thing is that you can put it in the dishwasher because you can damage the heating element which i dont care if i cant put it in the dishwasher other than that i love my blander ... show more

  • Amazing purchase
Wasn't sure what to expect, but have been very happy with the blender. I end up eating fresh soup daily, yes daily. The cleaning cycle on the blender works great.

  • Best blender ever
I bought one of these a few years ago and recently accidentally broke it. I’ve replaced it with a new one because I love it so much. It has a heat/Sauté function meaning you can cook soups from start to finish in the blender. It’s also amazing for smoothies and frozen breakfast fruit bowls. It also cleans itself, which is insanely amazing. One of the best kitchen products ever. ... show more

  • Great for soups and liquids.
I would like to give this item 5 stars for some functions and 2 stars for others. Pros: I am in soup heaven. Never has it been so easy to have an endless variety of soup. Recipes are in the little booklet that comes with the blender, but there are also useful charts for smooth or hearty soups, so you can be creative. Take 5 or 10 minutes to prep the ingredients, 5 minutes to sauté onions and spices, add the rest of the ingredients, and go about your business. 30 minutes later you will have piping hot soup. (Be careful removing the lid! Very hot steam will come out.) Additionally, the blender is plenty powerful enough to blend frozen ingredients for smoothies, etc. Next, the infuse settings for cocktails and mixers are fun to play with. Finally, the cleaning function is nice. Depending on what I blended in it, I may give the blender a quick rinse before cleaning, or I may hand wash it some first. Cons: The cookbook includes recipes for hummus and pesto, but I will never again use it for anything like that. I will use my food processor for any food I can’t pour or ladle. The blades throw thick ingredients to the sides of the blender almost immediately and no more blending takes place until you remove the lid and reach down and scrape things to the middle again. Then you have to do that all over again a few seconds later. Finally when you think the food is blended, or you just get too tired to go on, you are faced with getting it out of the blender. The hummus/pesto will be on the bottom of the thing, partially under the blades. Good luck. Fortunately, I already had a long blender spatula, or I probably would have ended up rinsing a lot of pesto down the sink. The tool that comes with the blender is worthless for thick food items that stay near the bottom of the blender, although I have used it to stir beans into my lovely minestrone. The only other negative about this item is its weight. The heating element stays on the blender and the thing is heavy. I think many people, especially perhaps older women (I am one of those people, but I work out with weights, and now I consider lifting the blender to be part of my workout!) may not want to deal with something this heavy. Overall, the blender works great for liquids but poorly for thicker foods. I am glad I bought it, and I use it almost daily. ... show more

  • Fantastic.
Used for first time today, made the cauliflower soup from the booklet you get with machine, just left the curry bits out!! The soup turned out “soupa” creamy, something I’ve never had before even with my immersion blender or regular blender. I’ll be making a LOT of soup both creamy and hearty. Love that the recipe booklet has hints on making your own recipes work with this fabulous blender!! I’m hooked!! Yes it’s heavy, it’s noisy right at the end of the ‘smooth soup’ cycle, size is ok, no leakage on this 1st run. 👍👍 ... show more
