I was so happy with this blender when I first got it to replace my generic made in Germany personal blender that was growing mold under the seals and didn’t blend very well. Well, I’m not happy anymore. Every time I have gone to use my Ninja, it has needed to be charged. I literally charged it yesterday with my smoothie in it, got it to full battery capacity, ran it once to blend my smoothie, and a second time to clean it. Now it’s dead this morning and charging with yet another smoothie in it. I just want a reliable personal blender. Is that so much to ask? Update from a few days later: I charged it TWICE this morning because I knew I’d be using it tonight. IT’S DEAD! After two charges and not being used, it’s dead! And it’s not like I used this thing to death when I first got it either. I have used this blender maybe 9 times since I got it. I’m beyond disappointed. Ninja used to be a good brand. ***UPDATE TO THE UPDATE*** I registered my blender with Ninja after all of this nonsense, and then I reached out to support. I sent them videos of the issue and they gave me a case number and a phone number to call. I didn’t have to prove anything to them, they just told me they would have to send out a replacement and that I didn’t have to send mine back. I know that shopping for personal blenders is a NIGHTMARE AND A HALF, because they either don’t chop, don’t hold a charge, burn your house down, etc. If you’re going to take the risk to get one anyway, just go with this one. When it works, it pulverizes everything you put in it. When it doesn’t work, Ninja stands by their products and takes care of the issue. I’m updating my review to 3 stars, but if my replacement blender works, it’ll be 5 stars. Oh, and by the way, the customer service dude was really pleasant and spoke English. I was never transferred to India or anything like that. ******Hopefully Final Update****** So, I got my replacement blender from Ninja, and I love it! I use it about every other day, and I have only had to charge it four times now. It works wonderfully, but the only thing it sometimes struggles with is whole frozen strawberries. Don’t get me wrong, it can pulverize them. It just may take more than one blend cycle, which is fine when you have a blender that actually works, unlike the one I got from Amazon. I was needing a small, portable blender for my daily protein shakes which I make at the office. It's more than powerful enough to smoothly blend a few powder supplements together. Can't say if it could do fruits well but honestly I can't imagine that it would struggle. It's easy to clean. The light color code indicator is easy to understand (with the sticker on it that tells me what means what). The ONE CON that I can confirm from other reviews is that the battery does not last long. I put it on the charger at minimum every two days after I use it just to make sure I never get stuck. I imagine that would be annoying if I was traveling with it, but I don't so it's fine, and if I ever do, I'm aware of what my limitations are. ... show more

Just what I expected. Easy to use, powerful, portable and clean. My only issue is that I have to charge it often. I use it 6 days a week and sometimes I’d have to blend twice when I use frozen fruit and then it’s suggested to use hot water with a bit of dish detergent and blend to clean. I’d suggest skipping the blend part and shaking and rinsing it to save battery life. Overall, it’s a good product … so far. (Only had it 1 week) ... show more

Me and my portable ninja are bestees. It’s small and is the exact portioning of a large cup from the smoothie stores. I love the color feature as a physical warning signal as to what’s going on. the blending lasts all of 30 seconds with minimal sounds and it doesn’t smell. It’s easy to clean but it does need charging after 5/6 30 second usages. It charges within 30 minutes so even if it’s dead or low in battery life you can plug it in, run a quick errand and it’ll be ready for you in 2 shakes. I like the handle at the top which when it’s pulled all the way back it stops in place so you don’t have to worry about the cover slapping you in the head when you’re taking a swig or draining the last remnants out. Follow the instructions for safety purposes and BUY IT BUT IT BUY IT !!!! It’s an excellent blender for the price. I’ll update review after I’ve had it for 6 months etc. ... show more

Well, I made this pursed July 18 and I tried to wait for review. I blended and use it with frozen fruits. It didn’t blend well I’ve tried it with ice. Didn’t work so great I’ve tried it with fresh fruit it worked great for all of 4 months and just stopped working this morning. I tried it with some cheerios for the grain and it just stopped working. I guess it didn’t like the cereal. It works great for fresh fruit, quick oats and blends protein powder to flavor seto not chalk or grainy tasting.Because my return window was over I thought I lost $40. However I remembered read a review that said register your device thank goodness I did. Thanks Ninja Update November , 2024: thank goodness I registered my purchase otherwise I believe I would’ve been out of the cash. I contacted Ninja and after trying some trouble shooting they shipped me a new product. Thank you Ninja for standing by your product. I would definitely recommend this! ... show more
