It is loud enough to wake up a baby in the next room, it's definitely not the loudest blender, but to call it quiet is an overstatement. The last blender I had I would put on top of a pillow to quiet down because it was incredibly loud, so relative to that this one is almost pleasant to use. It's well built, the blades are safely dull. I add dates as an alternative to sugar, they do not blend well, there are always big pieces. There is gap around the blades on the bottom which food falls into and gets stuck. The blender always has to be taken apart to clean this area. It is a circular gap between the blade holder and the glass. The blender is powerful and blends carrots and whatnot into a puree. The result is still pulpy, but not chunky, except with the dates. It doesn't bubble up so even with less water than needed, it still pulls everything down and blends it. It is much more effective than something $20 cheaper in my experience. It's a well built and effective blender for the typical tasks one would expect a basic blender to do. It's not comparable to any specialized blender that is able to do fancy nut butters or whatever they do. I made the choice to get this and supplement with a food processor. It has some design flaws but still manages to be effective. I use it for hot and cold liquids. It is a glass jar. I never use the weird pour spouts in the lid because they have nooks and crannies to clean, I just take the lid off. The rubber feet are nice because they are not glued on, if they come off you can just put them back on. This blender is powerful. This is slightly better than most blenders, and not in the same class as the more expensive ones. It's just a blender. ... show more

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I am a long time customer of Amazon. I have 2 blenders, one bought from Amazon many years. I purchased this blender because the description indicated it is a silent blender. I received the blender and proceed to use it. THE BLENDER IS NOT SILENT. And the use is not adequate and it has caused spillings of smoothie to my amaze. I saw where it made in China, info not available when purchased. There is a big difference in cost of other quiet blenders. The other are higher in prices. Bought this to replace our old blender for making smoothies and protein milkshakes. Omg! What a difference! Blends everything together smoothly and quietly! Love the pour top lid, so you don’t have to take the whole top off to pour. Excellent quality for the price!

I suspect there’s a lot at play in the top 100 rankings of blenders on Amazon. Ninja, Vitamix, those all market themselves well and have influencers shill the heck out of them. But this one collects dust on the shelves when in reality it’s likely the answer to everyone’s needs. Oh, and it doesn’t smell like burning plastic like another $20 top-5 blender on the market. As far as noise goes, it is the ONLY — I repeat, ONLY — blender to date that we’ve had over 1.5 decades that doesn’t raise the ears of our cats (or make us shutter in pain when on level 2.) Obviously the more solid, frozen items you include in your drink, the louder the noise will be; however, with sufficient liquid and a handful of frozen strawberries, this thing more than capably blended on level one.     • Not The Worst Blender
I wish I'd bought a different blender. This one is okay, but it's not that quiet. Maybe it's quieter than some other blenders, but the "quiet technology" needs work. Also, the name PowerCrusher must be a joke because this machine is the worst at crushing. Frozen fruit pieces get right under the blade and I'm constantly having to open the machine and pry them out so that it will work. As for ice, it crushes it but not very well. Drinks come out too icy/chunky. So it works, but seems more like a $19 machine. On the plus side, it's very easy to clean. It's also lightweight, which I appreciate.
