I bought this for my 13 Yr old?? grandson at Christmas because he wanted to make smoothies and also said he wanted to own a smoothie place when he grows up. If your Grandma doesn't support your dreams, who will? Are you even a Grandma if you don’t? LOL. I love him so much and always want to encourage his dreams. He loves this and uses it often although I think his interest in it as a business has changed. Let kids test drive their dreams while it’s cheap. This was a great investment imo. Wow! Wish i bought this blender a year ago! It works freaking fantastic! And its so simple to clean and use. 16oz is perfect for me too! There isnt any extra things attached to clean it, just the cup and the blade cap. The power is amazing too! U just twist ur cap on and push down for it to blend. Ninja brand is a great brand! Great blender! I’ve had this for over 2 years now and it still works just as well. It blends perfectly, and I love that you can just pop the lid on for an easy blend-and-go. I love this blender! I've used other brands, but this one seems to have the best construction. The motor is plenty powerful, and I really like the fact that they supply you with two cups with accompanying lids. I use this to make shakes for myself, and it's so convenient instead of using a big blender and dividing the portions. Just blitz your shake and screw on the cap, and you're ready to hit the road. The motor isn't the quietest, but definitely not the loudest that I've had experience with. It would be nice if there was a locking function instead of just having the pulse function, but that's a minor gripe. ... show more

Overall, this is a helpful tool to have in the kitchen. We use it primarly to puree oatmeal, mix egg mixtures for scrambled eggs and make protein drinks. It is relatively easy to use and clean. Having the extra cup on hand is helpful. It seems durable, solid and easy to use. The one nit I have is that you have to be careful to tighten the base really well because it is prone to leaking if not tightened enough. The flip side is when you tight it really tight, depending on the contents, it can be difficult to open after mixing. I would buy it again given the small footprint, ease of use and flexibility of use cases. ... show more
