My theory was if black and decker can make a drill, they should be able to make a heck of a blender. I have not been disappointed. I'm hard on blenders because I make frozen fruit protein smoothies twice a day. I've even killed a really expensive blender. This blender has no problems with my smoothie addiction. I’ve been using the BLACK+DECKER 10-Speed Countertop Blender, and while it gets the job done, the noise level is a big drawback. The motor is powerful and blends everything smoothly, whether it’s ice, frozen fruits, or making soups, but it’s so loud that it can be disruptive, especially in a quiet household or when others are sleeping. On the positive side, the 10-speed options are great for customizing the texture of your blends, and the blender is easy to use and clean. It’s compact and doesn’t take up much counter space, which is a plus. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly blender with solid performance, this is a good choice. Not the best quality nor does it feel "sturdy". It feels weak and frail. Motor is not the highest, however I was looking for a blender that wasn't expensive, glass container to make my hot bulletproof coffee with the butter and mct oil and my higher quality blender that I spent almost $300 on, is a plastic container and after a while it started developing cracks from the hot coffee. I only use this blender for the coffee and the glass is good so I think as long as you probably don't challenge this blender much, it would probably last. So I'll see how far it goes. But if you try it with other denser things like ice crushing or pureeing soups, I would probably not recommend for that. ... show more

Beginner blending needs and it works well so far. A lot of the reviews complain about the sound, but it’s not super loud-I’d say an ice machine is or garbage disposal is comparable. I’ve never had a quiet blender, so maybe I don’t know what I am missing. I like being able to put the parts in my nightly dishwasher run for cleaning.
