  • The best!
Color: Mat Graphite Size: ROTANTE ( Rotating )
I like to eat good pizza, my family likes to eat good pizza, but the home oven just couldn’t get temps high enough to replicate that pizza oven crust, sear and taste. To solve this, I’ve been eyeing various pizza ovens (Ooni, Breville, Solo etc) for a while now, but never committed to purchasing one. The other weekend at a friend’s get together I saw this pizza oven in action and was instantly sold! I’ve watched many pizza oven reviews on YouTube and the one thing they all had in common was the necessity to rotate the pizza so it cooked evenly. Not with this oven thanks to its rotating stone feature! I placed my order on Amazon and eagerly waited for it to arrive. Once here, the setup was a breeze. The oven came fully assembled, all I had to do was add batteries (comes with a power cord if you are close to a power outlet) for the rotation function. I attached my propane tank and off I went. The oven heated up to high temp (850F+) relatively quickly. This easily beat what my home oven could do. Roughly 10-15 min and the stone was reading 800F, ready for my neopolitans to go in. I threw the pizza in and they cooked extremely fast (90seconds !!!). I pulled it out, let it cool and gave it a taste test. While the pizza looked amazing, the dough did not cook all the way through. I quickly realized my newbie mistake - the temp was too high! I turned the gas to low, let the stone temps adjust and threw my next pizza on. The result? Amazing pizza that looked just like a fancy house pizza, tasted like a pizza house pizza and had dough fully cooked through! The rotating stone and the additional under stone burner gave the pizza that nice crust with the right amount of crunch. I didn’t need to futz with the pizza after I put it in! After I was done with the “from scratch” neopolitan pizzas, I cranked the temp and threw on store bought pre made pepperoni pizzas. The dough in those was semi-cooked. Let me tell you, those store bought pizzas tasted like they never have before - AMAZING! I was blown away how good they tasted after a quick cook in this oven - this will be my go-to method when I don’t have the time to make the pizza dough from scratch. Definitely give this a whirl. Overall, I am pleased with this oven. The simplicity of set up, quick heat up times, the under-stone burner and the rotating pizza stone make middle of week pizza cooking a breeze. I’ve been recommending this oven to friends as sort of an underdog alternative to Ooni that has more features than Ooni. Highly recommend investing in one! ... show more

  • Will not cook bottom of crust

I have been making pizza for years. Thought I would try this. I have tried about a dozen times and while the top is burnt the bottom is raw. Horrible

  • Versatile , stylish, and easy to use

I make a lot of 'American style' pizza and have desire to make other style pizza such as Neapolitan style which requires much hotter temperatures to do well . I've never had a pizza oven that was really good at Neapolitan and the other styles of pizza that I love. This Witt ETNA Rotante pizza oven seems like it is capable of doing more styles, more easily than any oven I've had before. On high I was able to bake a Neapolitan style pizza in 90 seconds without much difficulty. I measured 889F on the stone before I launched my first pizza in this oven. The rotation of the stone makes it significantly easier than other hot ovens I've tried in the past. For my very first pizza in this oven I was very impressed. Next I turned the upper burner down to its lowest setting and after preparing my next pizza, the stone cooled down to roughly 660F. I baked the 'American style ' pizza in about 7 minutes. I got really nice oven spring , the bottom and the top cooked rather nicely... in the past, I've never really had much success making this type of pizza in a oven that can also cook a Neapolitan style pizza in 90 seconds. So, I am impressed with the versatility of the Witt ETNA Rotante and it's ease of use... and... the style of this oven is outstanding. ... show more

  • Wasn't sure if it would be worth it... it was!
Color: Mat Orange Size: ROTANTE ( Rotating )
The media could not be loaded. Update: The rotator stopped rotating. It goes 90% of the way around, but then stops. Like something is stuck in the gears. With no stone on it it slows to a stop for a moment and then muscles through. With a stone it can't do it, much less a stone with a pizza. There doesn't seem to be a straightforward way to get at the motor to see if there's anything that can be cleaned. I've been cooking pizzas in our home oven quite often over the past year. They are delicious, but it takes a while for the old oven to heat up and the house is filled with smoke from burnt corn meal when I'm done. This Witt Etna Rotante is a game changer (I'm not affiliated, just a satisfied customer). A couple things that weren't clear before purchasing, probably just from my lack of reading. I wasn't sure how the rotating stone was powered. It turns out that you can use 4 AAA batteries (which is what I used for the first use and it worked great), and they also give you a power adapter if you'd rather plug it in. It comes in a huge box, and at first you think it's way bigger than you expected (heh). But it's manageable once you get it out of the box. The legs fold out and they don't get hot or warm when the oven is in use. The top gets hot, but not as hot as the front. The propane hose worked well. I read reviews about it being unusably short, so I ordered an 8' hose with a regulator, but I may send that back. This hose was plenty long to make it work. Maybe they extended the length or other folks had different things in mind. I can set this on a table and have the tank on the ground a comfortable distance away. It was 40f outside and windy for our first use. Took about 15 minutes to heat up on high. And about 110 seconds to cook per pizza. I got a 16" bamboo peel which I wasn't sure would fit, but it was perfect. The rotating stone isn't a gimmick, it works well. It will take some trial and error to get perfect as I'm coming from a conventional electric oven, but I'm looking forward to testing things out. First pizzas were delicious! We do a lot of grill n' chills in the summer and I got this to compliment the grill. I have been seriously considering building a brick oven. Thought about it all year. Glad I went this route though. Much more convenient, simple, clean. No regrets, as long as it keeps cookin'! Update: Adding more photos. This thing is so awesome. No regrets. Like another reviewer suggested, crank it up and let it heat up. Turn it down to low and it does wonderfully. You can make them soft and doughy or crispy. I have made about 20 pizzas. The oven takes 4 AA batteries to rotate the stone, and one AA for the igniter. I used regular AA batteries. It has been out in the cold, sometimes below freezing, for a couple weeks and they still work fine. Haven't had to plug it in yet. I ordered the cover for it as well. Fits like a glove and is easy to take on and off. ... show more
