  • Inexpensive Wood Fired oven with one problem
Color: Stainless Steel
I was very impressed in this ovens packaging. Very well thought out and simple to assemble. I have use it twice and am very satisficed. Easily hits 900-1000 deg and I cant wait to use it for my homemade pizza. There is one problem. If you have never used wood pellets you will get very frustrated. Once you get them going they initially burn well for about 5-10 min. then smolder. The issue with pellets is airflow. I did Filet Minion the first time I used it and they were fantastic but the temp was all over the place. The oven is not the problem it's the pellets. I got a small battery operated fan that can be purchased at WalMart for $7. Set it on low and aimed it into the fire box. HUGE difference. Maintained the temp, pellets burned to ash and I had flames the whole time I need to cook. Took 5 min to get up to temp and we did hot dogs in it today. Perfect! Next will be pizza. Great product. ... show more

  • Pizza making not easy
Color: Stainless Steel
The oven is great! Ready to assemble. Arrived quickly. BUT pizza making is not easy. First two pizzas burned on top, dough on bottom raw. Regulating heat was daunting... Too hot... To cold... Not giving up!

  • Definitely a learning curve involved!
Color: Stainless Steel
There is a definite amount of patience required with this oven. A small fan sitting near the wood pellet box helps tremendously. All pizzas we made have been tasty, after we cut the char off spots on the first few. What we are finding works best for us is to partially bake the crust in the oven, then put the toppings on and put it back in to finish baking. Also, we invested in a better quality peel. By baking slightly it makes sliding it in and out much easier. You absolutely MUST let the pizza stone heat for at least 20 minutes. Overall, definitely worth the price and the time it takes to get used to it. Each pizza is better than the last. ... show more

  • Frustrating. Terrible.
Color: Black
It doesn't work at all. I mean it does work, pellets light. The temp goes up. The stone gets hot. That is where everything ends. The thing is so small, and there is no insulation to speak of. The cheese on the front half isn't even melted before the back is burning. Ruined four pizzas trying every combination of thin dough, flipping it around. etc. All of them burned on the sides, raw dough in the middle. Even tried some wings. It burned the ones in back before the ones in the front even started to cook. It also left them raw in the middle and black on the outside. This thing belongs in the garbage, not being sold. ... show more

  • It is amazing how something so affordable creates such great pizza
Color: Stainless Steel
I recommend using pellets to make your pizza. Don't over fill it. This guy gets hot fast. But for the people that don't understand physics, the heat comes from the back so you have to rotate your pizza and you have to work fast. It's exactly like a wood fire or coal fire oven. It's not some dummy proof automated thing. It requires a little attention. What's amazing is you can literally use Pillsbury dough, store bought sauce, basic cheese and basic pepperoni and this will make restaurant style pizza. It's insane. And yeah, it takes a little practice to get it right. It's called cooking. That value is amazing. I bought one for my dad too and he loves it. ... show more

  • Ok starter oven but not great
Color: Stainless Steel
It’s hard to keep the oven hot for long. The pellet burner pot is small and you have to keep feeding it. It also has hot and cold spots and does not consistently cook the pizzas. Make sure you flip it around while cooking or the back will burn and the front side doesn’t cook all the way. Spend more money and get an Ooni. ... show more

  • More time to heat stone
Color: Stainless Steel
I like the ease and portability of the unit. When the instructions are followed (15 minute warm up time), the pizza stone does not get hot enough so the bottom is doughy and uncooked while the top is burnt. Played with it a little more and found that if it is kept at 950 degrees for 30-40 minutes the stone warms nicely. I noticed the baffle in the back seems to force the heat out the stack. Maybe in another design, make a shorter one or eliminate it all together. An infered thermometer is key to make sure the stone is 550 degrees . After today's "playing" with it a little more, I am happier than I was the first time I used it. ... show more

  • Great Pizza!!!
Color: Stainless Steel
Tried it out shortly after I put it together. Worked well. Heated to about 850 in just a few minutes. Put pizza in (gotta get the hang of the pizza peel). Did not turn pizza when or as much as I should have. Got a little done on one side on the first one. The second one turned out better. I am looking forward to mastering it!! ... show more
