This pizza oven is fantastic. I waited a long time before buying this. I read endless reviews and watch every video. You will definitely need 2 people to put it together. It wasn’t hard it just took a couple of hours. Make sure you preheat the oven until it reaches 450-500 degrees. It take about 15-20 min to get to this temperature The first time I used it, I had a problem getting the pizza dough off the pizza peel. Before putting your dough on the pizza peel make sure you put a little semolina flour down first. This will help it slide off easier when transferring your pizza into the oven, otherwise your dough will stick to the pizza peel and you will not be able to transfer it and you will have a mess. Watch your pizza. These ovens are hot and the pizza cooks really fast. There is a learning curve but with persistence you will be making great pizza. You won’t be going to buy pizza out anymore. I would definitely recommend this pizza oven. ... show more

The Blackstone pizza oven is a perfect choice for our family and entertaining needs. The rotating turntable is a really good feature to ensure you get an evenly cooked pizza, don't get me wrong turning the pie by hand is definitely fun...and an art. However it's sometimes hard to get a perfect cooked pie where the dough and toppings are all evenly and fully cooked. And the Blackstone pizza oven gets up to cooking temp (650-700) like in 5 minutes and your ready to pop your pizza in. We are by no means pizza experts but all of pizzas we made came out great, and the crust was fully cooked and had that pizza crust term "leopard look". I wish I could have taken a video, but my other hand was holding a beer! ... show more

    • Motor stops working

Purchased this back in April and we love it. Recently the motor stopped working. Tried everything I could through the FAQ. Tried calling and emailed no response. Very disappointed especially paying what we paid.

Product was delivered while at work. Side panel was dented in and pizza stones broken. Looks like it’s was just thrown in driveway. Backstone customer service is ridiculously are to get ahold of but was able to order new stones and panel.

First this pizza oven is awesome, heats to 900+ in 10 minutes. Cooks pizzas evenly and perfectly. I love this oven. So why the 3 star review? The service from Blackstone has been non-existent. We received our oven in highly damaged box which ultimately resulted in the denting of the top in 2 separate places. This didn't impact the operation of the oven but it looks like I got the oven from the side of the road. I have contacted Blackstone via their chat bot. Big surprise no response. I then submitted a ticket through their support system. I haven't received anything not even a fake message saying they will get in touch. I am so disappointed in the service especially with the amount this pizza oven costs. I guess I am going to have to wait on the phone and call their number. This is unacceptable customer service and not expected from a company like Blackstone as I have enjoyed many of their products over the past 6 years. Maybe I will give a different review once this situation is resolved. ... show more

I have an older model of this unit (circa 2015) and it makes great pizzas. Still working 9 years later with a cracked 16" platter and a finnicky rotissarie motor. The light weight allows us to share this unit with others in the campground. The entire campground loves this thing and the pizza parties are great. However i have no door on mine and Must make one out of aluminum foil which is absolutely essential for the high cook temps. Also if you heat or cool too fast you can crack cordite plate. I was worried about the rotator motor (mine corroded and would not work) before i realized it is just a grill rotisserie motor you can get for a few bucks anywhere and you can find cheap corded ones anywhere.( goes through batteries quick) It us a little pricey but i am truely thinking if upgrading. Of course 700$ would get me a custom made door, new cordite, and a new rotissarie motor as well but the new unit has all this and mine is not table top compatable. Only con for unit is it is difficult to get a wood smoke flavor like some OONI's. I place chips in burner but not too effective. Looking at the new unit as it comes with accesories and is very similar to ild unit with refinements. When they last long enough and you get to actually use them the wxpense is worthwhile ... show more
