Diesel gauges are vital for proper maintenance and care and this Edge give you tons of good data. If you buy a diesel you should also plan on buying one of these! They make vehicle specific mounts but the window mount that comes with this is super sturdy. If you can think of a gauge reading you need or want displayed this thing has it. Can also do some performance testing and code reading/clearing. Great unit and great price. ... show more

This is a great monitor. It took me a while to choose between this and the tuner version. I later learned that with this monitor you can choose to upgrade it to a tuner on the Edge website. You just buy and download the software update and download the tunes to it! That would have saved me a couple weeks of flip flopping on my decision. I have noticed it does freeze up on me occasionally but not very often at all. I would say only two times at the most in the 6 months I have owned it. The layout looks really good and gives me all the info I need at a glance. I have compared the readings with my scan tool and everything seems to be reporting accurately. It is very intuitive and easy to use. It is a bit expensive but the quality is worth the price for me! Highly recommend! ... show more

    • Accurate and reliable!
I installed this Edge monitor on my 2007 Silverado 2500hd classic with the duramax diesel, and it is excellent! Following the directions, I updated it by bringing it inside and powering it with USB, and connecting to my wifi. The update took about 15 minutes. Afterwards, connecting it to the truck was super easy (it actually took more time orienting the suction cup mount to a satisfactory position). The display can be changed to your liking to show the a set of common values (rpm, speed, coolant temp), or even custom PIDs you want to see (rail pressure, trans temp, fuel level, etc). The display is responsive and clear, easy to read even in bright sunlight. It also goes to sleep when you turn the truck off and wakes by itself when cranking to save your battery! The only issue i've ever had was the screen went to sleep by itself once during a long drive as if the OBD port has stopped delivering power, but just touching the screen woke it again. I suspect the issue is with my truck and not the edge unit. ... show more

    • Slow for updates with new vehicles such as my '22 Chevy 2500HD
UPDATE 01/2022: Up one star, latest update now allows manual AND mobile regen buttons to the diagnostic screen for my 2022 2500hd truck! Unfortunately, its still a bit buggy with it turning off when you park the truck. Sometimes it goes to sleep properly, sometimes it doesn't, no rhyme or reason to whether it will or won't shut down properly. Sometimes it won't turn on when you start the truck either, and sometimes when it does, it doesn't actually load properly and I get an error which requires physically unplugging the obd plug and reinserting it to get back to my normal screens. Doesn't happen all the time, but enough to annoy me, so only one extra star for now. I assume they'll work the other bugs out soon enough, and I'll add another star or two if they get it working right. (original review below) Biggest reason for me getting this thing was to be able to manually regen when I wanted to. Sadly it does not have that option yet and no timeframe on getting this option according to tech support. I do know it works for the '21 model, my buddy has one and showed me exactly how his works, but even with his unit plugged into my vehicle, that option disappears. Its quirky to use, quirky to update and just plain quirky when its running sometimes! Lock ups are pretty easy to duplicate, just try opening the screen for checking codes and it will lock up. It also does this randomly when I start the truck. Always the same way, I park in my garage and never lock the doors, so I just get in, hit brake, press start button. Its a crapshoot if the thing starts up correctly or locks up on the gauges screen. Unplugging it from OBD2 port and reinserting plug will get it to come back properly, but that takes 1-2 minutes sometimes, and other times only about 30-40 seconds. Updating is a royal pain in the arse, as wifi has never ever worked on this unit, and my buddy has said the same with his. Its easier to pull the unit out and plug it into the pc and run their software, but sometimes that too will lock up and not update the unit!
