This is for my husband who had his knee scoped a few months ago. We measured and ordered the XXL. I had a feeling it might be too big but that's what the chart recommended. When we received it, it fit but felt a little big. My husband likes his braces to be a little snug. The company had sent me an email to follow up on my order and I asked about replacing it for an XL. They promptly responded and said they would send an XL and not to worry about anything else. He just received it a few days ago and it fits just right. It pretty much locks things in place. Without it, I’m in a lot of pain (may need meniscus surgery). With it, I walked 18 holes today. I had another brace like this with the stabilizing rods that was 15 years old, and I had machine washed it, so it wasn’t as effective, so I bought this one. This one feels good because the cup is very comfortable, and the rods (“springs”) are sturdy and pretty long. The compression is firm without being too tight. I purchased the higher end model. This is a very good sleeve. I have now used this for just over 2 weeks almost daily. The fabric quality is top notch. I deliver furniture and need something that doesn't slide or rides down on me, this does a good job but will ride down your thigh as it has very little inner rubber lining to help keep it in place. The stability is 3 stars. I don't really feel much stability from the two side stabilizers. As for the support, it is tight enough to around y leg to help support my knee, and not it isn't tight where you feel your circulation being cut off. The gel ring helps with padding when you kneel down but it is beginning to wear out and fast. This is very comfortable and there are times you can forget that you have it on, if/when it rides down/ slides on you. As a higher end model I would have thought it would have more of the inner rubber lining at the top edges, than what little was provided. Still, I think this is a good item I voted 3 stars but it is more like 3.5 stars. ... show more

I bought this with low expectations that it would be what I needed but was I ever wrong! I weigh in around 300 at 6’2 with very large legs. I regularly do low rep high volume weightlifting which includes squatting 350+ lbs 3x a week so support was important to me. This brace not only gave me the strong support I needed but also works great to keep my knee stable when I play softball, jog, or participate in any heavy physical activity. The only thing I can give you to make it better would to to cut the tag off as soon as you get it. That thing was a hassle. ... show more

Very solid knee brace that offers good support without being too rigid or uncomfortable. My only complaint is it does still tend to roll down at the top despite the silicone grips. If there were vertical hard straps of plastic at the top it would completely solve this issue, but an easy work around is to put 3 or 4 Bobby pins around the top part. ... show more
