I love that this contains powdered mushrooms and that's it. No fillers or preservatives, and certified organic as well! As for the types of mushrooms included, I had my doubts about a few of them. For example, I'd never heard of oyster mushrooms being touted as having particular health benefits and wondered if perhaps they were using it as a cheap mushroom filler since oyster mushrooms are widely cultivated. But no, I was wrong. Several Google searches revealed that every single mushroom contained in this product have notable health benefits. When I opened the container, the smell was nutty and pleasant. Very similar to the jar of pure Lions Mane that I have. The powder is very fine, similar to cocoa powder, and behaves much the same as cocoa powder in liquids as well. A very quick taste yields a nutty flavor, but a more significant amount on your tongue will have some bitterness to it. Not overwhelming. You won't even notice it if you add it to your smoothie. My only complaint is the scoop. The container says the recommended serving size is 1/2 a scoop, but the scoop they provide is a half-dome shape (as opposed to a cylinder shape), making it very difficult to determine if there's "half" in there or not. Why not just enclose the correct size scoop that we need? Ultimately it recommends a 1 gram serving, so if you have a 1 gram scoop, use that. ... show more

This product almost seems too good to be true. I question the quantity per dose of the mushrooms because the serving size is 1/2 a scoop (which is annoying, by the way! Just include the correct size scoop!), which is a very small amount of powder. The serving size says 1000mg of proprietary blend but the suggested intake for Lion's Mane alone, for example, is 500-1000mg. Given that it's one out of 10 mushrooms in that 1000mg it makes me question whether the dose is an effective amount. That said, organic mushroom powder at an affordable price? I'm in. It doesn't add much flavor to what you mix it with (which is good!). I tend to put this in my protein shakes and it disappears in a protein shake. I ordered the "Myco Guardians 10 in 1" product. The tub of powder included a small scoop, with the instruction to take half of a scoop daily. The tub comes with 283 servings, enough to last a long time. This is a great way to consume a wide variety of beneficial mushrooms. The powder is not in capsules, but has a very fine consistency - and none of the distinctive mushroom aftertaste. I added a serving to one of my powdered energy drinks, and couldn't even tell it was there. I won't get into the details of each mushroom strain, but for example - I have noticed that I am in a better mood when taking the "Cordyceps" mushroom. While I don't believe that the mushroom has a specific "mood altering" component, Cordyceps is known to help with increasing how much oxygen your body absorbs - thus increasing energy and mood. This mushroom strain, as well as many other beneficial strains, are included in this mix. The manufacturer is also very responsive, should you have any questions.
