They came nicely packaged in really attractive boxes so they are perfect for gift giving. Like most things these days they were shrink rapped. They scream quality because they are. To my surprise it came with a separate package of extra fill if you like a firmer pillow. I went ahead and added it to one of them but it wasn’t really necessary. They are the perfect blend of soft and firm. I’m a side sleeper and I don’t have to scrunch up the pillow to support my head. Yet it’s not too firm like a memory foam pillow. I hate those hard pillows. No chemical smell at all. They suggest you put it in the dryer to fluff it up a bit but I was too excited to try it out so I didn’t bother. I’ve never had a pillow like this before! It’s far superior to any pillow I’ve had before. I like that the pieces of the pillow can be adjusted. I’m a side sleeper so as recommended I first tried the pillow as is and I loved it! You can take pieces out and put them in a drawstring bag that is provided to adjust the pillow as you like. I also liked the queen size . I thought it might be too much but it’s perfect for me.You might consider zippered pillowcase. I never thought of that before and it makes my sleep more restful as I otherwise might be pushing the pillow back into the case during the night. Also among other things a zippered allergen barrier pillow encasing will protect your pillow and it doesn’t get in the way of a good night’s sleep. ... show more

I honestly have no idea how this pillow ended up in my searches, but I am so glad that it did! I have been having a terrible time with neck stiffness … I assumed it was from my pillow. However, I have tried so many different kinds that I was about ready to give up. What I love about this pillow and what makes it unique, is that you can control the firmness. You can either add or remove filling as needed. Genius!!! I also loved the outside quilted plushness of the pillow itself. AND might I add that the packaging was very sturdy and high end. These pillows are pretty comfortable and have some decent adjustment with the bag of fill. I did toss ours in the dryer as recommended for a few minutes which does seem to get them to puff up a bit. Ours came with two bags of the extra fill, but there was no writing of any kind of the bags. The biggest disappointment was that the bags don’t have even a cheap zipper or even Velcro closure. So you have to cut them open and then there’s no real way to close the bag of loose fill. Annoying. Some of the fill pieces did have some harder sides to them so I’m not sure how these are manufactured. On the positive side we ended up using less than one of the fill bags, at least for now, to adjust the thickness of our pillows. I honestly can’t imagine anyone having to stuff an entire bag of the fill into one of these as I added maybe 1/3 of a bag and it’s pretty full. My wife only added a couple handfuls to hers just to get it a little more thick. So far we both like sleeping with them. I wish they were more of a cooling pillow but it maybe cuts down on heat a tad. It’s hard to really say. At least they don’t seem to get very warm so that’s a plus. For the price I’d buy them again, especially for a set of two, as long as they hold up well over time. ***UPDATE*** (11/11/23) So I figured I’d update my review after using these a while. We still like the pillows and haven’t had an issues with them falling apart or anything like that. I mostly wanted to touch on my previews comments about the included additional fillings. While we only used a little at first we have added fill over time. Twice in fact. Between the two pillows we have used one bag of the fill and a little of the second at this point. So it’s definitely nice to have it. I guess some of the fill in the pillows just gets naturally compressed with repeated use. They’re still very full but that’s how we like them. I don’t know if we’ll need to add anymore of the fill or not. It’s still annoying that the extra fill bags have no type of closure whatsoever so we have to keep them in a plastic shopping bag. To be clear the pillows haven’t pancaked or anything. They’re still very thick, but if you purchase them don’t toss the fill away as you may want it later even if they come perfect for you at the start. ... show more

1. It is very interesting in box packaging. 2. Once you open the materials make sure follow instructions. 3. About couple of 3-5hours it everything ready to use. 4. Oh my it is comfortable stuff. 5. My sleep cycle and size of this perfect. 6. Very cool temperature and it keep that temperature until next morning. After trying to find a neck pillow for travel and many returns, I purchased this pillow. I love it! I have a long and thin neck and all the neck pillows did not provide enough support and constantly rotating the neck pillow does not work for me. Switching to this pillow was my answer. It came compressed and I followed the instructions (15 min in the dryer on low with a couple of dryer sheets). The pillow fluffed right up and is super comfortable and supportive. There is no smell. The cover is very soft (a must!). It easily compresses into the provided bag so easy to travel with. Love how supportive it is and now my sleep has definitely improved, waking up refreshed and no stiff neck or tingling arms. I am a side and back sleeper so this has been great.
