Exactly as pictured. No drainage hole. The back is flat and unglazed for stable positioning on a wall. I recommend first hanging without plants to determine and adjust rope length, and setting the planter inside a 4" pot to keep it upright when adding plants.

The media could not be loaded. I actually didn't use these for plants, instead, I used them as chic dog bowls for my little daussie! I wanted bowls there weren't on the ground and apparently, that was almost impossible to find! Instead, I decided to look into other things that hang which is when I came across these beauties! I decided to give them a shot and they are just what I wanted! I hung them and put an adhesive so they would stay flush to the wall. They are great but the only issue is my little dog sometimes wants to reach for the water where the string is so he pulls it away from the adhesive and I simply reattach it and we are back at it! ... show more

So I will start off with saying I like the size and color... that's about it. The finish on these are inconsistent and messy looking overall. The rope that comes with these is VERY low quality and shes when touched (I will have to replace it) honestly, if I didnt have such a hard time finding grey wall pots to begin with, I would have returned. I gave these to my wife as a gift (2 sets). She loves them. She put herbs in them, and I hung them about five feet off the ground where the squirrels can't get to them. They don't have drainage holes, so I used a diamond drill bit (1/4 inch) and made holes for her. It kind of turned into and issue though, because several of her friends decided to buy them, and I had to drill theirs out too. ... show more

I bought my daughter a display piece from a local craft store that had four of these style pots hanging from a metal frame. She only wanted to use the pots to hang them on her bedroom wall. That got me thinking about doing something similar in our living room, so I went hunting on Amazon. I came across a set of 6 of these pots that had been returned, and the price was simply too good to pass up. I then bought the three pack new, as I had a large area to cover. I wasn’t too fond of the rope used to hang these pots, so I took a cue for the pots my daughter had. I went to a craft store and bought two rolls of suede, a leather punch, and metal screws- just like what her pots had. I cut the suede to the length I wanted, punched a hole on each end, and then fastened the strip to the pot with the screws (pics show my tweak). Then it was just measuring the distance between each pot, and each row. I first added faux succulents, but have changed things out. At Christmas I added extra Christmas picks (flower, presents, greenery- sadly, no pic), and for spring I added faux flowers. Not sure if I will change them for each season, but it’s nice to know I can. We have tried real plants in my daughter’s pots and the have all tanked. As many have stated, there are no drainage holes in these pots, so I’m not sure it’s best to add soil and real plants unless you drill a hole (diamond bit as suggested in another review), or find pots small enough to fit inside that can be removed for watering. Otherwise, these are great for faux plants/flowers. Very happy with the quality of the planters, just not crazy about the rope. I saw some great ideas by other viewers, so just wanted to add my ‘tweak’ as well. ... show more

I'm so excited about these, they're kind of small which makes them perfect for my shower window, they don't have drainage holes but similar to terracotta pots they absorb excess moisture well, still I added some sand and stones to the very bottom to help with drainage, so if your a happy waterer that wouldn't hurt 😂 simple to hang and have a flat surface back so they can rest flesh on a wall or window, super affordable and will definitely be ordering more for gifting in the future ... show more
