Pleased with these grow bags, which I'm using for pickling cucumbers. I've been growing them in these for a few weeks now, and they're all doing great - despite being transplanted, which is hard on cucurbits. The handles make the bags easy to move. They drain well, but the soil within does not dry out too quickly, so my plants get the moisture they need with minimal watering, but the roots stay healthy and aren't sitting in a puddle. It's not an issue of concern for me, but the bags retain creases from being packaged flat, even after redistributing the soil in an attempt to make them more round. The fabric is sturdy and of good quality, and the ability to store them flat in the off-season is a plus. ... show more

As amateur gardeners, we weren't exactly sure what to expect when using this type of bag, but these have turned out to be perfect for our situation. I would totally recommend this as a way to grow and even haul around smaller plants. The bags arrived folded and shrink-wrapped down so small that I wasn't sure what was in the package. They expand immediately when you break the air-tight seal, and I was able to fill them with plenty of dirt for my newly-transplanted seedlings. My only caveat: From what I can tell, the only way you'll get 5 gallons of dirt in each bag is to fill them to the brim. That was perfectly fine for our situation, but when in doubt, it might be a good idea to order a size up. We're using four bags inside and one outside. They all seem to be functioning exactly as advertised. No leakage. We're quite satisfied with the quality and it seems appropriate at this price-point. ... show more

I saw these kinds of grow bags used by two friends, one for tomatoes on a deck. The right combination of grow soil materials and lights make these portable and easily allow moisture to not overrun plants. We used these on a deck area with easy run-off and getting good sunlight but we can move them! Drainage is key, so don't sit them in anything that will let roots rot. These grow bags are a great idea. We have a bunch of tomato plants in them. They are very portable, and are easily moved. Excess water can drain right through. They will last a season, but I don't think you can expect them to last beyond that. They are cheaper and much easier to work with than hard pots or containers of the same size. ... show more

These are great for setting nursery planted pots in without reporting. They draw heat but serve as a barrier against pill bugs. I also use one of these to corral my expandable black hose. Works great and makes it easy to move.
