    • Durable, absorbent, soft
I love these rugs. I have 4 of them. I have hardwood floors and it can be slippery for my dogs, especially the older guys. These are soft, absorb water very well, and are easy to clean. Just throw them into the washer or take them outside and give a good shake. They aren't fancy but when you have a lot of pets, you arent too worried about fancy. They are very practical and have a very cute design on them. So, if you are looking for soft and absorbent, you cannot go wrong with these rugs. One thing to note, they have backing on them that makes them less likely to slide or slip on, but its not a thick rubber so if you are worried about slipping, that may be a slight issue. For me, its one of the main reasons I bought these. We just had our floors redone with vinyl planking and apparently you should not place rubber or latex rugs or mats on them because they react with the flooring and can cause stains. Although there is something anti skid on the rugs, its not a thick rubber or latex so I am hoping they are ok. Oh, and so far they hold up well with multiple washings. I have purchased three of these rugs from My Doggy Place, and am so glad that I have them in my house. I have nine dogs and they love to get into whatever. The grosser the better. Also, I have an aging Chihuahua and she has decided that going outside to do her business is overrated. So, these rugs have been a wonderful find. First, they are extremely comfortable. Second, they are absorbent, and third, they are easy to clean. You simply throw them in the wash and you are good to go. I do not put mine in the dryer. I let them dry by hanging them on my porch railing, but I would not hesitate to put them in a dryer on a low setting. They should be fine. They are also a great place for a dog to plop down and take a nap. Or for a kid to plop down and take a nap. They come in wonderful colors and they are so soft. Great purchase! ... show more

    • Handles the mud that large dogs drag in

We have 2 large, active, 18 month labs who love being outside. They each weigh 75 pounds each. Our backyard has turned into a massive mud pit because of the kind of winter we are having. We had always been a 1 dog house. The amount of dirt/mud that 2 of them brought in was driving me out of my mind. Each morning a layer of dirt would have settled on all of the horizontal surfaces during the night. I tried new larger water hog rugs, sweeping under the rubber mat outside the door, washing the outdoor mat, cleaning all the mud that the dogs were getting on the outside of the door, being absolutely diligent about wiping off their paws each and every time they came back into the house. I was beyond frustrated. I spent an entire day deep cleaning this area and was having to vacuum every single night to try and keep this clean. I had resorted to using baby wipes to try and clean their paws each time they came in. It was slightly better, but it really didn't solve the problem. So as a last resort, I researched the "best rugs for dogs with muddy paws" and My Doggy Place rug got very good reviews. I got the oatmeal colored "runner" size rug, which I would definitely recommend, especially if you have bigger dogs or multiple dogs. Because the rug is thicker and has nubbies, it does a much better job of blotting the mud and wet off of their feet. It rained for 24 hours straight the first day I got the rug. Getting them to sit on the rug for about a minute or walk back and forth over the rug a few times was enough to clean their paws. I still have to wipe up the mud that gets on the floor, but this is working so much better. The weather cleared today and the dirt did dry in the rug. I simply took it outside and shook it out. I haven't washed it in the washer yet, so I can't comment on that. My biggest challenge has been getting our one dog from using the rug to play tug of war. It is much stronger than a towel, which doesn't handle this well. We are making some progress on getting her to leave it alone. Both dogs have taking to hanging out on the rug because it is so comfy, which helps to deposit more water and dirt on the rug. I am delighted that this is working so well. I still have to clean, but there is so much less dirt floating around our family room. I would definitely recommend purchasing this. I would definitely buy this product again. ... show more

I like some of the other brands a bit better as this one slips often and I have to bend over to adjust every day. I like how soft it is and it does the job to keep the dirt out of the house. It seems to be very absorbent too.

I used to use towels on the floor at the entrance where my dogs came into the house but when I saw this rug I knew I had to try it. No more dirty dog prints on my tile. I vacuum it and shake it outside once a week. I even have one dog that loves laying on it to look outside. This was such a great purchase that I bought another one for the spot by their water bowls. Very soft, comfortable and absorbent. Have four rugs in our kitchen. Coming into the kitchen, in front of the stove, in front of the sink and dishwasher and back slider door. Great for the dog, and for me just standing and working in the kitchen. Love that they can be thrown in the washer and dried in the dryer. It is absorbent, it looks great at the door and it washes well. It also stayed in place.....until after I washed it. Now Iifht as well throw towels on the floor for as slippery as it is. Shame for the money I paid but a thin liner underneath should fix the problem.

We have had this for one year. Once a week pick it up by all 4 corners, take ot outside and be prepared to be amazed. The amount of sand, hair and dirt tracked on then trapped in the rug is incredible. One shaken put it in the wash. After a year it still looks and feels new. Worth every penny.
