Features

  • [Self-Heating]: When the water temperature reaches the preset temperature, the pool heater will automatically stop. And when the temperature is lower than the preset temperature, the heater will automatically turn on again.
  • [Dry Burning Prevention]: The swimming pool heater is equipped with a pressure switch to protect it from the risk of dry burning due to lack of water in the operating process. If the water pressure drops to 15kPa or less during operation, the pressure switch will shut off the power.
  • [High Temperature Protection]: The hot tub heater has a high temperature protection switch. When the temperature reaches 50C due to a lack of water flow or a blockage in the inlet, the heater will trip (cut off power).
  • [Wiring Method]: Pool heater typically do not come with a standard plug attached because it often requires higher voltage and current levels compared to standard household appliances. Instead, they are designed to be hardwired or connected using specialized connectors. High power heater can achieve better heating effect, so we recommend that you invite an electrician to help you wiring.
  • [Notice]: The pool thermostat is suitable for pools around 500 gallons. In addition, the electric pool heaters come with 2 different pvc pipe connectors. One inner diameter is 48mm (1.88"), and the other is 50mm (2"); [Tips] It is recommended to use SCH 40 1.5inch pvc pipe.

Since it didn’t come with a plug I haven’t been able to use it yet. I still haven’t been able to get an electrician to wire it. Therefore I can’t use it and no longer need it.

I hooked this up to my GFCI hot tub breaker and decommissioned our hot tub for the summer. It said max gallons was around 500 so I was hesitant because we have a 1200 gallon pool, but wow! It heated the pool up to 30 degrees c no problem. At first I was worried it might be defective because hours went by and I couldn’t feel a change, but I left it all day and actually had to turn it down because it was getting too warm for our pool.     • Didn't work right out of box\Update!!!
Purchased this product in may 2023 and had it hooked up 30 days later. Electrician wired it to a 220 volt GFCI breaker and it instantly blew the breaker. Checking all the wiring, which is simplistic, everything was fine. Determined a dead short internally. Unfortunately I was one day late of return policy and now have to deal with manufacturer. This is a very non complicated product and somehow still screwed it up. Looking like I just ate the $180.00 price tag. UPDATE!!! EVEN THOUGH THE PRODUCT WAS DEFECTIVE THE MANUFACTURER RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY AND EVEN THOUGH AMAZON 30DAYS EXPIRED THEY CREDITED MY ACCOUNT FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE. Bought this for out 12' x 36" pool. Keeps the water at a perfect temperature so the kids can swim anytime they want. On a side note - no washers are included for connections so make sure to uy some or you will be run back to the store.

I'm not sure of functionality yet, as I can't connect it to my plumbing. It says it comes with 1.5" and 2" tail nuts. If it does, I only got 1.5", and the connection is too slopy for glue and primer to hold. I did get 4 tail nut pieces in the box, but they're all the same size. I figured I'd try doing an over fit with 2" fitting over the tail nut, but that will not work. So there is no way to make this work with 1.5" or 2" PVC. I did order 1.5" split unions and tail nuts, but I don't like that I'll have to reduce the 2" plumbing to make this work. That's if it even will. It will all depend on if the 1.5" split nuts will properly seal on the flare end over the heating element. Even if it does work, this item definitely does not work as advertised, or come with the option of fittings in the description. *UPDATE* After ordering new split unions and tail nuts from a spa parts dealer online I was able to get it connected and working. Fortunately these tail nuts are 1.5" inside diameter, and 2" outside, so I didn't need to reduce my plumbing further than what the heater tube diameter is. I did have to file out the split nut union flare as it was not the correct diameter for the heater tube, however removing material is always easier than adding material, especially in a pressure situation. It would be nice if the manufacturer sent a set of tail nuts with the unit so one is metric and one is standard. Could easily have the ID and OD of 2 different sizes on each tail nut. In the description it says it comes with 2 different sizes (4 tail nuts total) but all 4 of mine where the same size. It took a little work, and not as plug and play as the description says, but it's working great and doing what I need it to now. ... show more

    • Affordable and Powerful Enough
We ordered this to use with our above-ground pool. Even though it is advertised as a hot tub heater it is plenty powerful enough to maintain a good temperature in our pool.
