Description

The MSR PocketRocket 2 Mini Stove Kit defines big performance in a tiny package. An ultra-compact cook-and-eat kit for minimalist solo backpackers, it features the fast-boiling PocketRocket 2 stove (boils 1 liter of water in just 3.5 minutes) and is perfectly sized to make hot water for one pouch meal or cup of coffee. For efficiency, its pot doubles as your eat-and-drink vessel and nests the stove and a 4-ounce MSR fuel canister (sold separately). Outside, the extra bowl comes at no packing penalty. The pot’s lid doubles as a strainer, and the bowl is hot- and cold-safe. When small packs are mandatory on everything from alpine objectives to bikepacking missions, this micro cook kit is your ally. The kit packs down to 4 x 4 x 5 inches, and weighs just 9.9 ounces, keeping pack weight to minimum. • Glad I got the pocketrocket
I was going back and forth on whether to get the real deal PocketRocket or just a cheap knockoff. I think those cheap stoves have their own merit and place, but in the end I am glad I got this. It just seems and feels more durable and built to last. the small pot it comes with is quite nice as well, nice and small. It can boil just enough water for my wife and I on backpacking trips, and it does it fast. The silicone grip is juuuuuuust insulated enough that its not too hot to grab after boiling water if you are careful. So far its been great! Love it The fuel isn't contained- important FYI. ... show more

  • No propane
While the picture shows that it comes with everything including the propane, the package does not come with propane which is needed.

  • Okay but I found better
You get separate measuring cup. Separate holder which can get lost. I would suggest to get an all-on-one.

  • No gas canister
Did not come with gas canister, which makes sense if you think about it- being mailed and all, but for some reason I thought it came with one as thats what it looked like.

  • Great product, great service
This is a lightweight backpacking stove that is strong and functional. The burner didn’t work right at first, but the manufacturer replaced it immediately. I appreciate the fair price, the solid workmanship, and most of all, the great service.

Just the right size. Compact and light weight. Fits well in a backpack. Great for the trail.

  • Compact and versatile. Great camp stove.
Pretty impressed so far. I bought this to fill the gap between the Jetboil Flash and the full size liquid fuel camp stove. It is working out marvelously. For solo camping, or even just day trips, the stove/cook set is hard to beat for pack weight and compact size. The simmer control feature puts it into the whole next level of versatility as a serious, extended trip, camp cooking stove. It’s not quite as fast or efficient for small volume water boiling as the Jetboil, but I’ll make that trade in a heartbeat for the luxury and versatility of the temperature control valve, and the ability to use with any pot or pan. The little pot/cup is decent quality, hard anodized aluminum, and the silicone handle/ring is a nice feature for handling when hot. The included pot handler is minimalist, but actually works well. Just remember to remove the plastic cup/bowl off the bottom of the pot before cooking with it! I forgot and melted mine on the second trip. ... show more

  • Almost awesome
It’s almost everything MSR Says. Quick boil for sure. Light for sure. Small for sure. However, the heat safe grip is not heat safe. Nor does it stay in place once the pot is hot. Slid down the pot and nearly fell off when heating it up. Throw it away. Good thing they give you hot pot grips. They work. ... show more
