After reading previous reviews I decided to take a chance on these, especially since they were on sale. After unpacking them and loading them with peanut butter, I started to strategically place them in the problem areas. I figured out, shockingly, that they have a MICROSCOPIC HAIR TRIGGER!! I, then, figured out you want to place and, with just one figure, push the top down toward the back to open the "jaws". Within the first 5mins one of them was tripped and I could here it from another room. By the my husband got home 9 of the 12 were tripped! I had my husband clean up the carnage and reset of them. We checked again, before we went to bed, when we got up the next day, and in less then 15hrs the count was up to 26! If you think you have a mice problem these are your saving grace! Still not sure which bait to use. It took roughly 6 months for the traps to work. I stopped using bait halfway. After a few months without bait and placing them along ways or corners where I see the mice, the traps have finally caught a few. While these traps are reusable, I have concerns on how long they can last. It feels very cheap plastic. After the first snap, it was hard to reset the trap without having the jaw snap back into position. These things snap loud. ... show more

We found that we had a mouse( or a family) living in our shed. I bought these after reading reviews on several different styles and these seemed a good choice. I baited with peanut butter and had a mouse the following morning. Now, being an avid animal lover of course I felt guilty... but honestly this mouse didn't even get to eat any of the peanut butter and appeared to have had his little neck broken instantly, so I do believe if you need to get rid of a rodent, this seems to do the job very quickly where the animal doesn't suffer like it may using other means. To dispose, I simply walked out to the woods and opened the trap to drop his little body.... being that no poison was involved, he will feed another life form ... show more

Instructions are simple and easy to follow. Set up is quick, no pinching fingers. I put jam in the tiny cup then stick a piece of bread into the jam. It worked very effectively. The traps caught a mouse two days in a row. I threw away the traps with the mice because I didn’t want to do any cleaning, so it’s good that they don’t cost too much. Preparation suggestion (for squirmy people like me) before cleaning up: disposable gloves, plastic bags, rubbing alcohol, paper towel. I wore gloves and picked up the trap with mouse in it, with an inside out plastic bag over my hand, sealed it tight then double bagged it before placing it into my big trash bin in the garage.
