I install Wall Mount TV's as a part time job, and this is one of the best wall mount systems I have ever installed. The instructions were quite clear, and well written. Even though I have my own system of doing installs, there are important details needed for any TV install, and the manual included pretty much everything needed. The wall mount is designed for both wood studs and concrete. They do not include concrete bolts, but they can be shipped to you for free if you call them. (Hopefully nobody EVER tries to install in just drywall....). An electronic stud finder is helpful for locating studs, but not necessary. You can tap on the walls to locate the studs. Another trick to find the exact center of the stud is to use a hammer and nail, and locate the sides of the studs with that. A huge help was the Template provided. It was not a flimsy piece of paper, but thicker card stock which held up nicely. It had all of the measurements and holes laid out so after identifying where the studs were, it was easy to line the template up and tape it to the wall. From there, I simply drilled my holes right through the template. Two Levels are included in the package, which I find rather incredible.... Nobody gives you things for "free". The useful level is about 6 inches long and is handy to make sure your template and the wall mount is straight. [There is also a tiny level included with the template that you can stick on. But because you have to put it on yourself; if you are off alignment even the slightest, so it is useless.]. The Wall Mount unit is quite heavy, so it is helpful to have one person hold up the mount, while the other one screws in the bolts, then tightens them. This is actually something else I really like: The bolts have both a Philips head as well as hex! So you can start it with a screwdriver, and finish with a 1/2" ratchet. Way easier.... After it's up, all the adjustments were quite simple to make. Tilt, centering, leveling were so simple it took most of the aggravation right out of it. The locking pins on the TV pegs were a nice touch too. I hate the mounts that require the long hex key to find a tiny little hole in the dark under the TV mount. We just replaced our TV. Of course the new one is larger. I decided I needed a stronger wall mount. I also wanted a better one. This sliding one is great. Our mount is slightly off center (because studs aren't in exactly on center in the room). With this mount, I bolted it securely to the studs, and then slid it into center. The instructions are very clear and very thorough. I did use the screws that came with the TV to attach to the TV. But this mount came with lots of choices if i'd needed something different. I did a lot of research to find a TV mount that allowed for adjustments AFTER the TV was mounted. I have used other mounts in the past that were installed perfectly level, but due to the weight of the TV the TV was then slightly off level. This mount allows for adjustments after the TV is installed, and I had to use them. I installed a monster 77" Samsung OLED that weighs 50+ pounds. The mount made it easy as we were able to just place the full TV on the mount and while one of us held the TV in place (all the weight on the mount) while I screwed the 2 retaining bolts. This mount also allow left - right movement to allow for perfect wall placement. ... show more

After looking at a lot of these I tried this one and I won't go back. The instructions are easy and the kit is very complete. The hardest part of the install is figuring out the spacers needed for your TV's mount, but the kit comes with ALL of the spacers. It is over prepared which is good for the user. I really like that its easily adjustable so the mount always screws into wall studs for a secure install. After install you can move the TV around a lot. The mount construction is solid and made of good materials. And after all that its one of the best priced mounts. I was worried at the price point it would be cheaply made but its solid. I have more spot to add a tv and will be purchasing another at that point. ... show more

To Start, I like the mount. It is sturdy, with lots of ability to make adjustments. And it is not too difficult to install except for the issues discussed below. This system will NOT work for mounting on drywall only. You must attach it to studs or concrete wall. It is made for heavier TVs. This system is overkill for smaller or lighter TVs. But, it is great for larger or heavier TVs and with an excellent price. Hence the need for studs or concrete. What I would fix... One, the levels are almost useless, and are only good for getting it close. Use a better level for the final adjustment. Two, the template is only good for standard stud mounting. You will have to eyeball or adjust if your studs are not 12", 16" or 24" apart. Good news is that there are lots of holes in the bracket, which are indicated on the template. Three, when deciding on the height of the mount, you must take into account that the TV mounting bracket doesn't exactly match the wall bracket. It is 2.25" smaller. Good news is that the template has the tv bracket dimensions indicated (which is how I got the 2.25" dimension). MOST Important, the TV bracket does NOT detach from the wall bracket, which makes it awkward and heavy for a one man lift while bolting it to the wall. But you will need two people to put the TV onto the bracket after attaching it to the wall anyway. Overall, sturdy, well made, lots of adjustments, good price. It just requires some time to think the mounting through. If you are planning on a 30 minute to one hour task, you best have standard stud spacing and non-critical height requirements. Otherwise, plan for a couple of hours. ... show more
