This was the second monitor mount that I tried before landing on the third, which was the one that I ended up keeping. I feel a bit like Goldie Locks, the first one was from a different brand, and it was just far too shaky for my liking. This mount was promising, it is a decent option, however it just didn't have the range of motion that I needed to position my two monitors in a way that I liked. They couldn't be set far enough back, while being close together- the arms or "elbows" just didn't rotate back far enough. The third mount that I ended up keeping is from Mount-It as well. They make a good product and though this one didn't work for me, it was well made and I wanted to stick with the brand. The mount I ended up keeping is model number MI-43116, and it is a gasless modular mount, it was a little bit more expensive, but worth it in my case. Though it may be SLIGHTLY shakier than this one, I'm noticing as I write this review.. Not nearly as egregious as the first mount I tried though. I would recommend this mount if the shortcomings that I mentioned don't sound like they would be a problem for you. Now I'm on to write a review on the MI-43116. ... show more

From the start, it was obvious how to put this together, how to use it. The only "issue" was that both arms needed a LOT of adjustment regarding the weight bearing ability of both arms for a 22" wide screen monitor... not that big a screen but a lot of torquing the adjustment bolt. Almost perfect, except for vertical tilt that is not strong enough. The heaviest of the two monitors is just 14.1 lbs. With the tightest vertical tilt configuration, the monitor still tends to tilt slightly down (it will not stay at 90 degrees :D

    • Easy to install and exactly what I needed.

I ordered these arms to be used with a new standing desk that should arrive soon. However, I have them temporarily installed on a desk riser. They were easy to set up and easy to install and adjust. I have a 27" monitor on one arm and a laptop mount tray on the other. So far so good! I think once I get my standing desk it will be a great set up. I appreciate the ease of cable management too. My only beef with the arms is the connections point with the vesa mount and quick attachment adapter to the monitor. There seems to be a little play between the quick mount once it is attached to the vesa mount. It makes adjusting the larger monitor a little wonky but it's not that big of a deal. Before going too far I'll just throw my biggest gripe out there: The instructions are entirely in vague picture style. Just know there are two packs of screws for the monitors, each pack has two sets of screws. (A and B) You will need to pick one and find out which fits in your monitors vesa screw holes. I have samsung 32 inch monitors, and A worked. The next thing to know is for the arms, using the included hex wrench (allen) to screw towards the plus side to create more upward pressure. It does not require much energy, just like 8-12 or so turns before the right amount of pressure is there. The bottom table mount will require following the picture instructions. Basically screwing the 90 degree L shaped mount to the base, then screwing the bottom brace to the L shaped mount. Make sure you get the bottom brace screwed on SUPER tight to avoid pivoting when you rock the arms back and forth/around. This works great for my Samsung 32 inch (curved) monitors. I have like 8-12 inches of space between the monitors right now at fully height and stretch. The image I have uploaded is right after installing, so don't mind the odd crap everywhere that I kicked off of the table for the installation. EDIT January 7th 2018: The mount arms have been holding up very nicely. There has been no issues, and the monitors haven't been slipping/moving/dropping. My cat even gets underneath and bumps into it with all of his weight as he tries jumping to the ground (he's clumsy...), and it doesn't leave the position. I'm glad I picked it up. ... show more
