Overall, these mounts are great. I’ve two of them. The labeling is backwards though - telling you to turn it left to tighten and right to loosen, when it’s the opposite. Easy to install, pretty sturdy.

    • Just what I needed

I was looking for a monitor arm to free up space on my desk. This one works perfectly. It was easy to install and the cable management helps to keep my desk looking clean, tidy and organized. The monitor is just floating in the air with full range of motion. This arm is sturdy and I'm not concerned that it won't sufficiently hold the monitor. I got it as a Black Friday deal for $29.99 -- well worth the price. The only negative is that the tilt seems to be a bit weak. I have a 27" monitor that is within the weight range, but I had to crank the tilt adjust very hard to keep the monitor from slowly falling off-angle. It is now holding in position, but as I said, I had to really tighten it to get it to stay here. But otherwise, I'm very pleased with this arm and would recommend it. ... show more

    • Great mount, terrible tilt adjustment

I have a large 38" ultrawide monitor, and this mount is absolutely fantastic for it. Compared to the original stand, the footprint on my desk is absolutely miniscule, and I feel like I have so much more space. The arms holds up the heavy monitor just fine, and MOST adjustments are easy to do. The exception is tilt adjustment. To adjust the tilt angle, you have to loosen a screw, tilt the monitor to your desired angle, then retighten the screw. This is very difficult as the screw is not very accessible without moving the monitor away from the wall, and its hard to hold the monitor at the right angle while trying to retighten the screw. It really has to be a one time "set it and forget it" process, so make sure you get your monitor set at the angle you want when initially installing this mount to avoid later pain. ... show more

Note: I used two of these for nearly 3 years before writing this review. This is a very good product, with a FEW things that are sometimes misunderstood: TENSION: if your monitor is HEAVY, you need to loosen the tension (counter clockwise). RECESSED (sunk-in) vesa mounts: the mount itself slides on. If your monitor has a flat back, you won't have any issues. If the back of your monitor is recessed (sunken-in) and the bottom is obstructed, you may have trouble getting a good angle to slide the monitor onto the mount. TILT-SAGGING: if your monitor is tilting down, tighten both the right and left bolts where the monitor attaches. My review: Overall I love these mounts. I too misunderstood the lefty/righty tension thing. It feels backwards. But it works. I have a 6.9kg 32 inch mount (15 lbs) and by LOOSENING the tension on the arm, it springs upwards with enough force to hold this heavier monitor in place. Now I can move it wherever I need. The clamps to the desk are VERY sturdy, no issues. The arms have a wide range of motion laterally. They also can go lower than the base (if your desk isn't in the way), but they do not go very high. I never write reviews, but this company (MOUNTUP) and product deserves to be celebrated. They went above and beyond to help me, and saved me a lot of money as well. First, in July of 2022, I purchased five of the single monitor mounts to use on two household work desks. We opted for the single mount, which provides more control, flexibility, and configuration options for our situation compared to dual/triple monitor mounts. The set up is easy and the product is heavy duty – I have the utmost confidence the monitor will stay safely in place, even with cats. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the product and price. In December of 2023, I purchased a new very expensive stand-up desk but the thickness of the desk frame and top exceeded the depth of the C-clamps for the 3 existing single monitor mounts, which rendered them useless. I searched everywhere online to find the larger clamps, yet unsuccessful. I purchased another single monitor mount from another company and was disappointed with the quality – cheap, plastic, and unreliable, so I returned it. I took a chance and reached out to MOUNTUP, as their site says if your desk thickness exceeds 1.97” reach out for suitable C-clamp. They replied within 12 hours and said they could help. After a few email exchanges to collect more info from me, they shipped 3 new larger clamps, priority mail, free of charge, with tracking. The whole process from for initial contact to assembling my new desk with larger c-clamps took only 6 days – very impressive!!! MOUNTUP - THANK YOU for amazing me. A bit tight, and not intuitive on the assembly. But after getting it set and the monitor mounted, it has held up well. So, good piece of equipment, that could use better instructions.
