I was skeptical about this mount initially since I have never heard of the brand Mount-It!. There are similar mounts made by Hauanuo, Ergotron, and various other brands that are similar looking, but more expensive. I have my monitors in a triple setup with an Ultrawide on the bottom, and 2 27inch monitors above it. The two arms, for being gas piston operated, are rock solid, which has not been an experience of mine with other mounts. In my configuration, my monitors do not move or wobble at all, granted the two top ones are resting on my ultrawide a bit, but even still. I have this mounted to a standing desk, and my previous setup would shake a lot when the desk was extended to a taller height, especially when walking on my treadmill. With this mount, it wobbles maybe 20% as much. The added USB ports on the mount are a nice touch, I didn't think I would use them, but I connected them to my PC anyway, and now I see no reason not to use them. Good feature, even if you're just charging your phone. There is virtually infinite customization with this arm. My configuration seemed like an uncommon one, so I spent a long time looking at mounts, and I'm glad I landed on this one. It's basically perfect, the price is nice, it's high quality, rock solid, pretty easy to build, even easier to manipulate to your needs. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in black, so it kind of doesn't match the rest of my setup. ... show more

WOW! I wish I would have bought this thing a LONG time ago. I researched triple monitor mounts until I just about drove myself crazy. After reading hundreds of reviews, I settled on this one and could not be happier. It was easy to assemble and mount to the back end of my desk. It is extremely sturdy and holds my three 19" monitors solidly in any position I put them. I can articulate all three monitors in just about any direction or position, I can even spin them from portrait to landscape with no issue. The cable management features are pretty awesome too. It's very easy to route all your cables through the guides which keeps the entire thing looking clean and organized. The instructions that came with the item left a little to be desired, but they weren't too terrible. You basically have to interpret poorly drawn pictures/diagrams with no written instructions to go along with the pics. It took a hot minute for me to figure out how to properly adjust the hydraulic arms to they would hold the weight of the monitors and not sag. You have to turn the adjuster in the opposite direction of what you might think -- it's not a screw, it's an adjuster for the hydraulic inside the arm. Of course, there is a + & - stamped on the metal, but I didn't notice that right away. :) Another thing to keep in mind, don't stick the black pad to the base until you decide how you are going to mount it. If you stick it on, and then decide you are going to mount it with the bolts through your desk, you'll have to peel the sticker pad back off again, and it might not stick back on after that. Anyway, I LOVE this thing. It gets my monitors up off the desk providing tons of extra space, and makes my office look like a NASA command center or something. LOL! BTW, there are several other similar arms on Amazon that look almost identical to this one from Mount-It. Near as I could tell, the difference is this one from Mount-It has the USB port, mic and speaker jacks in the base. I find this pretty handy -- I keep the USB dongle for my wireless keyboard/mouse plugged into that USB port which puts it front and center in front of my keyboard & mouse for best reception. The other look-alike monitor mounts appear to have the cutout areas for those ports, but didn't actually have the ports in them. Definitely a solid mount, it's primarily all metal, little plastic (non-structural parts) so it's very sturdy and can hold a lot of weight. Easy assembly and install; you get the option to clamp it like I did or hard Mount-It! into your desktop (sorry, had to). Great cord management integrated into the arms, and I love the gas struts for height adjustment! I freaked out for a second because I mounted my Dell 17'' LCD monitor to one arm (which are pretty heavy for monitors nowadays) and it wouldn't hold the weight of it! I thought for a minute mine was defective or my monitor is just too heavy, but I realized they are adjustable, and you just use the supplied Allen wrench to increase or decrease weight limit (20+ lb limit). One thing I didn't care for with this unit, is that the center mount has no forward or backward adjustment (pretty much the only reason I gave it four stars). So if you're in a corner like myself, there's no way to mount a center monitor, as there's no clearance. And even if not, it's a shame with all that lateral flexibility the left and right ones have, you don't have a lot of options for positioning, other than fully extend them to clear your middle monitor. So after some thinking and DIY attempts for an extension, I found a clever "cheat" and went to Mount-It!'s website and found a single monitor mount that looks almost the same style as the arms on this one. I couldn't find one that's the exact same as the two on this one. But it did look like the image on the listing had the same pole attachment as the middle one that comes with the unit, and figure I fork over the $65 and take a risk. Turns out it is! Exact same. The arm design is slightly different and doesn't have a quick release tab. But it's the same color, and has the gas strut too! It's like it should have come with it! Even if my desk wasn't in a corner, I'd still want that maneuverability/freedom for the middle monitor like the left and right ones do, like for potential monitor upgrades someday, or adding a stand-up workstation. Makes sense! The only thing with this mount, is there's more plastic components to the arm, and the arm itself is not as beefy so it seems to flex more, but it's still solid. I now love having a corner desk! ;) You can see the third arm in the middle in one of the four pictures I added. I definitely recommend replacing the middle mount with this single monitor mount. It is 65 bucks more, and I hesitated, but realized there's not much you can do yourself unless you've got a lot of DIY capabilities and time. But once you get it on there, you'll see it's worth it!
