My knees don't normally hurt a whole lot. But I was doing a lot of work off a knee pads the past week, and my knees were hurting pretty good. I have one compression sleeve, and that does help when I need it. But I seen these at a pair, figured I'd try them out. What a difference. Just follow the measuring chart, measure 4 in above your knee, and pick your size. I'm always concerned with buying things like these because I have pretty big legs, and the normal compressions normally don't fit. These fit pretty good. They don't cut into the back of my knee when I sit down, they have the right amount of compression, and the silicone strip at the top keeps them from moving around. They are a little bit thicker, but they are very flexible and comfortable. On top of that their machine washable, they do recommend air drying. As long as they don't shrink a whole lot when I wash them, these are going to work perfect for a while. Very impressed. So far the knee braces were doing good. And then I wash them for the first time. I washed them in the washing machine, and air dried them. They have shrunk, and now they are a little too tight around my thigh. I've been wearing them for about an hour and a half waiting for them to stretch out, but there's still tight. I think I'm going to buy the next size up. ... show more

The overall fit, great. The area im struggling with is, how do I appropriately wear it with half my outfits. I put it under my jeans, yet after 2 hours I am so itchy from it. Probably due to sweat. The best outfit I found to wear with it are leggings, but now it's getting too cold. Pros: It's way more comfortable than my brace that I was using. Went through three of those and all were just thick, overwhelming, and painful by the end of the day. This is more manageable to make it through the day. Great quality. ... show more

I tore my meniscus in my right knee and I ordered this to help with the pain. I'm a server so I'm running around quite a bit and making frequent stop and goes and quick twists at the knees which most likely caused the tear. I ordered this to help and the pain is so much more bearable with this on than without. I ordered a medium because that's what the size chart for this brace suggested for my thigh size. It is a little snug and makes my thigh feel fat but I guess that's the compression part of it. I have sensitive skin so the silicone waves that help hold it in place leaves me with a good sized red imprint from wearing it all day but that is something I can sacrifice over the excruciating pain I have without it. ... show more

I damaged my 64 y.o. left knee while running down a hill in February (that's a Pennsylvania February). After self-rehabing the knee I purchased two of these and they have worked very well. So much so that I ordered two more. They really stay in place while kneeling (I do slate roofing) and because of the gummy feeling band they don't walk down my thigh. I wash them in a washing machine but hang them up on a pole to dry. About a year in and the first pair are still holding up well. The second pair are about three months old and are just doing very well. Recommend you NOT DRY THEM IN A HEATED DRYER. That will shorten their elastic life. But I am giving testimony that they hold up well and they do not cut off circulation. ... show more

    • Nice support but too tight on the calf

After measuring my leg, I fell into the high end of the Medium size - practically bordering the Large size. For a previous knee brace I had, I ordered the size I fell into but when it arrived it was too big and provided little to no support, so I decided to go with the Medium size instead of moving up to Large. Trying it on once I received the brace, it felt fine, feeling it provided the right amount of support for the knee. After wearing it for a period of time and taking it off, I noticed it had left quite a large indention on the calf area. Since it didn't seem to bother me while wearing it, I didn't think too much of it. After wearing it a couple of more times I still had the same severe indention in the calf area, but now I started to feel some tenderness in the area of the calf where the brace was causing the indention in the leg. I've stopped wearing it and considering returning it and maybe getting the next larger size. Now I do probably have larger that normal calves and I get no indentions/sensitivity on the upper part of my leg from the brace - above the knee. So maybe it's just my leg that has this issue. I like that the brace stays put on the knee with no sliding down the leg like other knee braces when being worn. But the tightness on the calf makes this brace/size unwearable for me. ... show more

My knees tend to hurt on occasion when I am active. I am older and they ain't what they used to be. I had a strap one but it was uncomfortable. These are much better but still they pinch a little behind the knee in the leg bend. Nothing very painful or anything but you can feel it. But the benefit outweighs this slight inconvenience.
