Got this to replace a previous mini chain saw. The one I replaced had a faulty battery. Amazon replaced with no fuss as I could not reach the seller. I used this mini chainsaw four times so far to cut wood (tree, plant, bush) ranging from 1 to 3 inches in diameter, about 5 to 7 cuts at a time. It easily cuts the wood. It does generate a fair amount of sawdust, so there is some sweeping needed after cutting. The batteries (2) are both working well on this brand. It’s not perfect, but I wasn’t expecting perfection at that price, but to do the work that I did the first time using it, I’m happy. I would’ve given it five stars but the chain came loose really fast. Other than that, it gets the job done.

I was really very skeptical of this chainsaw and its ability to handle cutting through real wood. Boy was I surprised with its performance it performed very well in helping limb a very large dogwood that died and had to be cut down.     • Finally, something that works!
Needed something to prune old blueberry canes, up to 2 inches thick and tough. Had tried old loppers, new loppers, and various pruning saws. All were difficult to use, time-consuming, and ineffective. None lived up to their claims. Happened to find this product and decided to take a chance, which really paid off. Right out of the box it was easy to use, even though i am small, 65-years-old, and have no experience with chain saws because normally I am afraid of them. Although my DH gave me a little advice, I would have done fine on my own after reading the clear instructions. The mini chainsaw made quick work of pruning the blueberry canes. It was so much faster and easier than everything else we had tried, cutting through the canes with ease. It did get jammed one time, simply because we were working in a tight area and a small cane got caught between the chain and the guard. It was a great lesson, though, because we learned how easy it was to resolve a jam. For safety reasons, I removed the battery. Then, using the enclosed wrench (hey thanks, guys!), I removed the guard and the offending cane/debris, before putting the guard back in place. Easy peasy, fast, and intuitive as could be. The DH and I are so impressed with this product. Now it will be easy to maintain the blueberries and other shrubs. We highly recommend the mini elecric chainsaw. ... show more

It worked great, for a couple months. I had to keep retightening the chain but that was just a small inconvenience. Unfortunately, now the chain has fallen off the track, again, once again, but the bolt will no longer loosen in order to rethread the chain.
